White House chief medical adviser Anthony Fauci says the Moderna vaccine is likely to provide immunity against COVID-19 for at least six months.
Fauci told a news conference on Wednesday that there is a considerable amount of information about the duration of immunity.
Referring to a study of people who received two doses of the Moderna vaccine, Fauci said antibody activity remained high in all age groups for at least six months.
He also said that vaccines developed by other companies are expected to produce similar results.
He went on to say that further research is needed to determine the effect of a booster dose to extend the duration of immunity

It is more complex than either you or the anti-vaxers make it. A healthy person in their 20s has extremely low risk of dying of COVID anyways. Even in my 60, my odds of survival are around 99.5%. And it is harder to catch than most people realize. I’ve had 4 friends where one spouse caught it and the other did not, even while living as man & wife during quarantine.
So many are justified in not taking an experimental vaccine for something that has almost no chance of harming them anyways.
OTOH, for those 70+ or with significant co-morbidities, the date rate zooms and they’d be stupid to skip the vaccine. Which may be why 75% of people 65+ in Arizona have already taken the shot. 55% in my age group, just below 65.
And I don’t care IF ANYONE takes it. Their choice. BOTH WAYS. I expect to get my first shot next week. MY CHOICE and I don’t appreciate people attacking me for it. But I’ll also defend those who refuse to take it. Let folks make up their own mind.
I strongly suspect the vaccine will prove to offer at least a few years of significant improvement. It is likely to become an annual shot for those over 75.

HCQ has been around forever cheap and effective acting as a therapeutic/prophylactic cure and vaccine promoted by Fauci in 2015 and Trump 2019:a wonder cure (can be used before and after) for SARS Corona virus that even stops spread. That plus allowing natural immunity, protecting the older and vulnerable while using common sense but we know the rest of the story and it’s only going to get worse.
You have no evidence of any significant side effects or safety issues from any COVID-19 vaccine available in the United States, aside from the very rare and easily reversible allergic reaction that a small number of highly sensitive people have experienced (about 0.001% of Pfizer recipients and 0.00025% of Moderna recipients).
Justifying your own fearmongering by pointing a finger at the Democrats and the media for doing it first? That didn’t work for me when I was a child in the back seat with my siblings. Doesn’t work now either.
Our dogs only get tested for their titer levels. No unnecessary vaccines for us.

I think that statement is ridiculous; but you will have to take it up with the NEJM...they conducted the study.
The data was supplied by the New England Journal of Medicine. They reported that in the 500,000+ in the vaccinated group 20 people died of covid. In the matched 500,000+ unvaccinated 39 people died of covid.
I will be the first to admit the results STUNNED me. I spent a half hour on the chart trying to see what I had missed because I could not believe how little benefit that study showed when you did actual comparisons between vaccinated and unvaccinated. As I mention in an earlier post I was “gobsmacked.”
Next, regarding vaccine deaths you said: “Take 100 million people and monitor them for a month and thousands will die in that period of time.”
That is demonstrably untrue. VAERS goes back over 30 years and currently administers 93 different vaxes and has NEVER shown after vaccine results that were even a fraction of what we have already seen with covid. In a year where almost 200,000 Americans (mostly elderly) got a flu shot the after vax deaths were in double digits. Three days ago VAERS reported we are up to 2,794 after covid vaccine deaths already and adding at a 300+ pace per week.
Add in the 233,000+ “adverse events” (going up at a rate of 28,000 a week) These vaccines are not safe and even our corrupt public health officials are starting to look more deeply. They stopped the children’s vax trials because of “concerns.” Just today the NIH reported that they have begun a study of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines to look for allergic and mast cell problems.
And Israel data (or lack thereof) is even more interesting. Unlike the U.S. Israel does not release their vax “adverse events” reports and as of Feb. 28 they have pulled out of the EuroMOMO after reports came out that “all cause mortality” for Israel had shot up and was now 4 times the level it was during 2020. It is now 3+ when the other Euro countries are at 0 or below 0.
Last, but not least, quit comparing vax vs. unvax while leaving out that in the last 15 months less than 10% of Americans tested positive for covid.
So you only have a one in ten chance of contracting the disease. Should you contract it you only have a 1.8% chance of succumbing to it. Then you have to factor in that with a vaccine you have a significant chance of being harmed or killed by the vax (and you better believe I think that most of those reported deaths were caused by the vaccine. Put the effort forth and spend some time reading the individual death reports...I have read hundreds and the details are compelling....remember those same elderly just took a flu shot and lived and they were “fat Americans with commorbidities then, too.)

COVID-19 issue in FR are pretty contentious. And for some, they simply can’t accept that posters have a different viewpoint than them, or make a different decision.
Some broad examples:
1) Pro-maskers going off on people that don’t wear masks. It was not uncommon to see pro-maskers mock people who did not think masks were effective even though sourced evidence was provided in defense of their position.
2) People not getting the vaccine going off on the people that are supportive of the vaccine. For this example, check out a thread where people report their experiences getting vaccine and any adverse reactions.
My suggestion is to always ignore the personal insults and if necessary click the Report Abuse link.

My eyes are wide open. The problem thus far has been that the "evidence" presented by the anti-vaccine side has been nothing but innuendo (e.g. "it COULD be dangerous!"), insinuation (e.g. "just wait and you'll see how bad the vaccines are!"), unsubstantiated claims (e.g. "Hank Aaron died of a COVID-19 vaccine!" - hint: no he didn't, not according to the medical examiner), and outright ridiculous nonsense (e.g. "the vaccines contain Bill Gates mind control chips/alien DNA/sterilizing agents", etc.)
But to date, you really have nothing. Zero proof of any real safety issue. Zero medical investigations of any deaths where a COVID-19 vaccine turned out to be the cause. Zero. Out of 110,000,000 vaccinated Americans. Zero horns growing out of vaccine recipients' heads. Zero third arms. Zero evidence of any significant negative impacts. Just a lot of hot air intended to scare people.

I’m experimenting with a script written to work with Safari that allows me to view a web page source, search for text, image, etc, and then jump n number of lines in the page. It’s fairly effective but working out some bugs. I use it to skip over posters considered disrupters, have threatened other posters, etc. It’s saves time scrolling past such posts and has helped readability.
