White House chief medical adviser Anthony Fauci says the Moderna vaccine is likely to provide immunity against COVID-19 for at least six months.
Fauci told a news conference on Wednesday that there is a considerable amount of information about the duration of immunity.
Referring to a study of people who received two doses of the Moderna vaccine, Fauci said antibody activity remained high in all age groups for at least six months.
He also said that vaccines developed by other companies are expected to produce similar results.
He went on to say that further research is needed to determine the effect of a booster dose to extend the duration of immunity

I just don’t understand your obsession with the Covid vaccine. It’s NOYB whether other ppl get the injection or not. Worry about yourself, wash your hands frequently, wear 2 or 3 masks concurrently, and FFS stay away from other ppl. Stop trying to browbeat ppl on here who aren’t interested in getting the vaccine. As noted prior, COVID-19 threads have a significant signal to noise ratio.
There’s enough sourced information out there for each person to make a data informed decision.
But at the end of the day, it is each person’s decision. And FReepers need to accept that.
Some of the worst offending issues are 1) mask wearing and 2) vaccines.
Good grief, people. Don’t get so wrapped around the axle that others don’t see COVID-19 issues the same as you or don’t make the same decisions as you.
Unfortunately, there are FReepers on both sides that seem to not only disagree with the “other sides” but also antagonize and make the issues personal with insults and threats. A flame war erupts, rendering the thread essentially useless.
Provide references for your positions and argue as politely as possible.

Perfectly fine with people making a different decision that I would. My only issue is with those who spread fearmongering nonsense in order to trick or scare others into changing their decision.
The freedom to make your own informed decisions about what’s best for your own personal health and wellbeing is important and worth preserving. That freedom is not respected by those who use fear to drown out facts.

The normal flu shot is voluntary, and happens once a year, but there are no restrictions if you choose to pass on the flu shot.
Interesting. Here is maybe a correlation to the animal world. Millions of cat owners no longer do routine vaccinations. They have their pets ‘titered’ for antibodies. The reason for this is vaccine site sarcoma and other adverse reactions. If the antibodies are there at a certain level, they are considered by the owners to be safe. Their veterinarian will likely disagree as it is unknown if titers truly mean protection. Second even if the titer shows no antibodies it is unknown if the body has ‘learned’ to fight off the disease and when introduced if the body would react by producing the needed antibodies.

Even my own veterinarian who has gone on to teach at Virginia Tech wasn’t getting over excited about missing vaccinations in housecats. Indeed at one point when I was fostering a cat recovering from panleukapenia (cat parvo for the dog people) I wanted to booster my own cats. He said it wasn’t “likely” necessary as the panleukapenia vaccine is suspected to last a lifetime in most cats. Result: none in my home picked up even the slightest hint of the dreaded disease. Unfortunately the cat I was fostering didn’t make it and the room had to be sanitized and no fostering for 18 months to allow time for the fomites to die off.
So this really long post about titers and serum assays in animals is just to say if they don’t really know how to apply this to animals who get routine vaccinations (in a field where there is high demand routinely for titers), how well can the medical profession interpret these assays for humans in any meaningful way?

Do you think covid just accidentally showed up 9 months before Trump would have been elected to his second term and much wiser having learned just how deep the evil was in this country and world wide?
And if it was not accidental do you think one would be wise to take that into consideration with every decision one makes (vaccines, motives behind those pushing them) concerning covid?
