Tiger was “Clocked” by the black box the new car had.
Oops. Must’ve been running a little late.
He must have been running late and was hurrying to get to his destination. Hope his recovery is going well anfvtgst he will completely heal.
The car had a black box. It was NOT Wood’s care...it was a courtesy car. A warrant was issued but the owner probably had also given permission....the warrant was to remove any doubt as to admitting it as evidence.
Some are more equal than others.
When I was 19, I hit some black ice in Utah during a blizzard. I rolled my car 5 times down a hill and was taken to the hospital. While I was in the emergency room, a highway patrolman gave me a ticket for speeds to fast for conditions. I was going about 15 MPH.
“No charges or citations. Must be nice ... “
Yea, he’s wealthy enough to not be affected by laws intended for the ‘little people’.
Speed limits are for the little people.

All laws are. The blindfold has been ripped off of Lady Justice.
Many states don't even allow red-light cameras or automated speed enforcement.
Most traffic laws are written so that the officer must witness the infraction. I suspect that the 83 mph determination was made from the car’s blackbox and not from other physical evidence. I do not believe that any LEO had a radar gun on the vehicle.
Since no other party was injured, this might be one of those situations where the law has a “gap” and there is no authority to issue a citation.
Just speculation on my part.
Who the heck would not hit the brakes at some point. Seems like a natural reaction.
No charges, but he paid the price. His career is over.
Tiger needs driving lessons from Lewis Hamilton. Then he could easily cruise at 83mph and not hit anything!
There is no question they arrived at that number from the data they downloaded from the ECU. Several outlets reported a few weeks ago that a warrant was obtained for the search of the vehicle’s electronic systems.
Tiger needs to leave the driving on the golf course. I think he can hire a chauffeur.
That was said off Ben Hogan also, but what a comeback, he wins the Grand Slam of Golf.
Why bother doing a readout of the black box if the authorities have no intention of charging him with anything?
What’s the point if the data are not used for evidence? He could have been driving 120 and the outcome would not be affected. He still walks (or limps) away with no ticket.
They don’t really need the black box to see he was driving at an excessive speed.
A ball week?????
