Most people do not want the Constitution upheld any more.
Even here on Free Republic there is a contingent that opposes restricting the office of President to only those born here of citizen parents, natural born citizens, as the Constitution specifies.
The children of foreigners ARE foreigners, even if born here and are specifically who the founders were excluding.
Respectfully (and while I agree with your interpretations), we should make a distinction between having an interpretation that you disagree with and saying that someone “doesn’t want the Constitution upheld’ at all.
Like it or not, not every Constitution-loving patriot is going to agree with you about what “Natural Born Citizen” means.
The Constitution makes no mention of the parents of any person born on American soil (Natural Born Citizen) having to be citizens of the U.S. in order for their offspring to be able to run for the presidency or vice presidency......Nada, None!
