there is a contingent that opposes restricting the office of President to only those born here of citizen parents, natural born citizens, as the Constitution specifies.

The Constitution makes no mention of the parents of any person born on American soil (Natural Born Citizen) having to be citizens of the U.S. in order for their offspring to be able to run for the presidency or vice presidency......Nada, None!

The children of foreigners ARE foreigners, they inherit the foreign nationality of their foreign parent(s).
One is only NATURALLY an American is when they could not e anything else..

Everyone who is given US citizenship at birth is not a natural born citizen.

NBC was a known legal term at the time the Constitution was written, it didn’t need to be defined in the Constitution.

At the time a wife’s citizenship was determined by her husband’s so the only thing that can be debated is whether an NBC needs one or two citizen parents.
