Adding to my comment above: Lots of movies in the 70’s and 80’s couldn’t be made today - another example is “Weird Science.”
In Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet”, Juliet says she is “not yet 14”. Romeo is old enough to get in fights with grown men, so he’s probably around 18.
Visualize that movie being made today.
I loved “Weird Science”.
Some Most of the lines in that movie would make the woke crowds' heads explode.
Have you ever seen the movie “Sumer of 42”, starring Jennifer O’neill, the movie was made in 1971....that movie could probably not be made today, it involved a 15 year old boy and much older woman who had recently been married.
Vacation comes to mind... the two cousins are on the seesaw talking about French Kissing. the Cousin says... “I know how to French Kiss! Daddy says I’m the Best at it!!” The whole movie Theater bust out laughing...
I occasionally wear a bra on my head while programming on my computer...
i love Weird Science! “Why are we wearing bras on our heads?”
Wife and I are currently watching mid-60s "F Troop" - add that one to the mix. Stereotypes galore. At some point, either of us will say to one another, "Can you see that being shown today?"
