“We don’t see them having sex but he does take my shirt off,” Perkins, 60, tells Page Six. “Actually, I take my shirt off and he touches my breast, then we cut to the elevator door opening and he’s got a big smile on his face. We never say, ‘Oh they slept together,’ but they definitely fooled around.”
In the 1988 comedy, a teenage boy finds himself in the body of an adult (Hanks) following a carnival wish. Naturally, he finds a dream job in New York City and even snags a girlfriend — played by Perkins.
Nowadays, she says, “they wouldn’t have shown that at all. I think we’re in a different time.” And, for the record, “I’m totally on board with that.”

Most of the lines in that movie would make the woke crowds’ heads explode.
Sounds like a movie to get back out into the theaters en masse and encourage them to go. :-)
On youtube there are reaction videos to many of the scenes from Blazing Saddles. Many of them are black guys watching the Sheriff coming into town.
All the ones I’ve seen they crack up laughing. “Aw man - they actually SAID it! I can’t believe they said it!! No way that could be made today!”
More like: Severe abuse (as in: beatings).
Regards,
If by “severe advice” you mean beating the crap out of his kids every chance Joe Jackson got, then you’re right.

i love Weird Science! “Why are we wearing bras on our heads?”
Did Joe advise him to dye his skin white? That’s pretty damn severe!
I think Blazing Saddles mocks white people more than anything.

Not!
Game over man!
Today the script would have to include racism, LGBT,mass shootings, and a healthy dose of hate.
To call a 13-year-old a “teen” is true in only a technical sense, I think. That’s really more like a child.

At the other end of the scale, that sort of thing of course happens all the time when stats get quoted involving guns and children.... all of a sudden, 18 and 19 year old gang members fall under the children umbrella.
Isn't it essentially the same story, only that it happens to a girl?

Mel Brooks, one of Hollywood's funniest film-makers, has told the BBC political correctness is "the death of comedy".
He said Blazing Saddles, his Western spoof about a black sheriff in a racist town, could "never" be made today.
"It's OK not to hurt the feelings of various tribes and groups," he said. "However it's not good for comedy.
"Comedy has to walk a thin line, take risks. It's the lecherous little elf whispering in the king's ear, telling the truth about human behaviour."
Brooks made his name with a series of successful film comedies, including Blazing Saddles, The Producers and Young Frankenstein.
Among the subjects he has satirised are racism, religion and feminism - and he describes himself as "the king of vulgarity".
But there is one subject he insists he would not parody.
Referring to World War Two, he said: "I personally would never touch gas chambers or the death of children or Jews at the hands of the Nazis. However, he says that is the "only thing" he would avoid. "Everything else is OK."

I was just saying this to my sister the other day.
My favorite scene is when the the town’s “scout” up on the roof alerts the “Sheriff is... LOUD BELL SOUND... “
The folks on the ground ask what did he say?
He said the Sheriff is NEAR.
LOL!!!!
I know Jennifer and she is the most lovely, open, and down to earth celeb level actresses I've worked with. To me, it is still surreal that I have her phone number in my cell, cuz I truly was envious of Hermie as a teen.
She literally can use the “I didn’t know he was 12!” excuse.
So...no biopic for "The Jerry Lee Lewis Story" like they've done for other rockers?

Some people gossip he is pedo
“Visualize that movie being made today.”
Today it’s all superhero overCGIed PC morality tale movies. Stuff for children.
