Vice President Kamala Harris was tasked last week with leading efforts to address migration to the southern border, where the nation is facing what's been described as a "humanitarian crisis" amid a surge in migrants coming to the U.S.
Since the beginning of the administration and a week after Biden's announcement, Harris has fielded questions from the media but has yet to hold a formal press conference. Meanwhile, the border crisis captivated the nation's attention and raised a series of concerns about national security and the stability of the U.S. immigration system as a whole.
When Biden initially announced her appointment, he said she would be in charge of working to return migrants to their home countries.
"So this new surge we're dealing with now started with the last administration, but it's our responsibility to deal with it humanely and to – and to stop what's happening," he said last Wednesday.
"And so, this increase has been consequential, but the vice president has agreed – among the multiple other things that I have her leading – and I appreciate it – agreed to lead our diplomatic effort and work with those nations to accept re- - the returnees, and enhance migration enforcement at their borders – at their borders."

She’s almost as dumb as Biden, and her advisors may be telling her the cackles are getting old, so I doubt she’ll risk a press conference.
Good, the sound of that cackling ghoul makes my blood pressure rise.
She’s untouchable. She’s special like Obama.
Harris is in a very interesting position. Biden clearly will not be capable of being president for three and a half more years, since he isn’t even capable right now. This means that Harris will soon become president. She can’t be fired, she only can be impeached. The Democrats will, of course, not do that. She can simply do whatever pleases her to do, any time she wants.
The last thing she wants is to become embroiled in Biden’s border fiasco. She’s simply ignoring his assignment to become the Border Czar. She’s obviously also ignoring the Obama/Rice coalition that’s actually determining policy for the country now. She’s planning to run it, Obama be damned.
Kamala doesn.t do press conferences, only cackle conferences
Remember when Obama tapped Joe as the head of The Middle Class Task force? Even set up a hokey website that wasn’t used. Joe did zilch, nothing. It was all bull poop. RATs hate the middle class anyway.
Kamala isn’t going to do anything. It is another phony. Just a way to move around responsibility like the many Blue Ribbon panels RATs have to pretend like they are problem solving. Truth is those panels were to create problems that need a solution. The answer is always the RAT way is the solution.
See how the border crisis just fades from the news cycle? Amazing how that happens for democrats.
