Why the Angst About No School?
3.31.2021 | Vanity

Posted on 03/31/2021 12:50:47 PM PDT by Shery

You read everywhere about how unfair it is for our American children to be out of the classroom due to teachers' strikes and governors' policy. Well, maybe instead, we should be counting our blessings!

How do you think we've gotten to this situation of woeness and socialism? In the classroom! It is taught on every level and many textbooks make sure the children learn the 'lesson" by using rewritten history to change the narrative and remove the truth from our children's ears.

While I know that they can still learn this online through virtual school settings, the parents have a little control because they can actually see/hear what is being taught. Some correction can be made to the child's learning right at home, but also it gives parents the 'skinny' on what is really being taught.

We've lamented for years that good children, brought up in Christian homes, go off to university and lose their faith. We can now see the seeds of that being instilled in our children's minds early on. Maybe God will use this to start a real change in the education goals of our children. It is long overdue. These spoiled rotten teacher's unions may be playing into the Lord's hand!

It is warfare on American kids to ensure they cannot compete in the world marketplace.

My Granddaughter’s private Christian school never closed.
No masks.
No social distancing.
No Covid.

Much of what you say is true, and hopefully this will lead to a revolution in schooling. But the fact of the matter is many students are struggling with on line learning and they are falling behind. Some may be permanently damaged by all this nonsense.

And ALL children need to be with their peers. They can’t do much of that now even in other areas. Learning to get along with one another is of paramount importance in life. We do that during our childhoods.

Think how many children today are only children. Imagine how isolated they are at this time.

What has been happening is a disgrace. The teachers’ unions must be utterly broken and destroyed. Any and all good teachers will find jobs in the new systems that will be developed. The bad ones that are now being protected by their unions can drop dead.

First, we would need an opposition party to the Dems to assist with favorable legislation for competition.

To ALL:

Our children have been held captive to a one worldview system for decades now. It’s time to break free of it!

I agree. Classrooms in this day are literal poison to children, and the most uninvolved, apathetic parents see public “education” more as free daycare than a critical component of their child’s development.

Abolish the Department of Education. They do not educate anyone. Abolish the Teachers unions. Return all responsibility for education to the States. You know we have to do these things. The longer it is postponed, the deeper the descent into a “New Dark Age”. Insane.

The tyranny of the Left is destroying what was called education in this country. The alternative is to abandon education, or remake it. What are we waiting for? Nothing is going to get better, but it will certainly get much worse.

Does ANYBODY see an OPPORTUNITY here? Vouchers/choice anyone? The GOP has had a year to deal with this crisis and the Democrats are the only ones smart enough to not let it go to waste.

Unfortunately, many of the teachers are part & parcel of this evil system. Not all, I know. You have a lot of schools where there are several Christian teachers and they find a way to teach the truth, but as they progress into MS & HS, the numbers of Christian teachers drop off.I’m 72 and I have witnessed this both as a school nurse as well as a parent.

I’ve said this repeatedly since the pandemic began. Conservatives constantly complain about public school teachers, the indoctrination that goes on in the public schools, people using the schools as babysitters, schools giving out free breakfast, lunch, and dinner, etc. yet the moment they actually closed you saw lots of people here and on conservative sites like The Federalist go nuts. This was an ideal time to tout the benefits of alternative methods like home schooling and distance learning.

Yes, so many options out there from private to home school to distance learning yet Republican politicians mostly did jack. Truth is that most of them love socialism as much as the Dems.

Yes. Some of the new crop of politicos around us have been brainwashed into spouting the canards of the left. They believe that the kids need to be so-o-o-ocialized, on drugs and hooking up with the other kids. Some parents are simply too lazy to bother educating their own children, even with the convenient resources available on the Net.

It’s like about the Amish guy being asked about Covid.

“Why hasn’t Covid hit the Amish community hard?”

“We don’t have television.”

Those of us who sacrifice to send our children to private schools are sometimes blind to the perils of pubrik skrewels. A voucher would have been nice but it wouldn't have affected our decision : private schools, private universities.

Ok, but then let’s quit paying for all of the teachers, administrators, buildings, etc. So far, there hasn’t been and cost reduction to the taxpayers for zero results.

Not to mention they received a few hundred billion as well, enough to eliminate taxes for a year.
