Coronavirus cases continue to rise across the United States, fueling fears of a fourth wave as officials urge Americans to keep following public health measures.

However, even as the rollout of vaccinations continues to pick up speed in the U.S., cases of coronavirus are increasing in half of states and the District of Columbia, data from Johns Hopkins shows.
Michigan is currently leading the nation in average new cases with a 14 percent rise over the past week and a 208 percent increase over the last month.
Additionally, in the Northeast, New York and New Jersey are seeing spikes in infections and stubbornly high test positivity rates.

Oh, the “syenz” says that the magical incantations and props are SUPPOSED to work, and people have been most graciously complying with the directives, but somehow the COVID Wuhan virus never got the memo and complied therewith.
For an infection that was probably far less deadly than even several iterations of influenza, a lot of economic interference has been forced upon the world. Don’t have enough adversity in your life, got to go out and invent some.
The control measures were and remain vastly more threatening than the disease itself.

Meanwhile, in Israel where they have ~57% of their population vaccinated, new COVID-19 cases and deaths are plummeting. They went from 10,000 new cases a day to a 3-day average of under 250 cases a day in the entire country. All their neighbors are seeing cases either rise or hold steady, but Israel is watching COVID-19 disappear completely.

They locked down the least vulnerable while intentionally exposing the MOST vulnerable. At least now the folks over 65, especially those in senior care facilities, are mostly vaccinated. This rise is more behavior related, as people have had enough "lock down" and are getting back to living. Here in CA, COVID ICU cases are back to March 2020 levels and falling. Fewer than 600 in a state of 40M people in ICU with COVID.
