It was around 8:30 CDT and a hispanic guy with tatoos all over him and a tattooed cross on the temple of his head walks in at the hotel, I work at, and he states in very good english, that he needed "accomodation" for him and seven children.
It was creepy, why was there no mother and why didn't he say "my children?"
Well the front desk person said that he would have to get two rooms and he balked at that and left in a white Chrysler minivan. I did not have time to get a licence plate.
my bet is that he was the dad and was just poor . the tattoos were probably prison tats grew up with a large family and it just is not common anymore. best guess is that he could not not afford two rooms. the big Question is whether they all looked as if they were related....very possible that your spider senses were warning you something was up but I like to think non nefarious first. if he hid the fact that he had a lot bof kids with him then my Spidey senses would tingle .
Around her it is common to have Hispanic families with 5-9 kids. I see them in Wal-mart all the time. Honestly, I am not sure that they leave with the same kids they came in with.
Your concern is understandable with the situation at the border, but many families are literally living in hotels right now.
I expect them to be coming for people’s houses within a few years, after the country is disarmed (and don’t worry, it will be disarmed, Lin Wood took care of that for us). That’s why I’m outta here...I read enough history to know how this ends.
location?
Didn’t get a license plate? Security cameras down again? I hate when that happens.
I had a similar experience. At a Columbia, SC Motel 6, I was the only vehicle in the parking lot—aside from an 18-wheeler. After checking in, I walked to the room I thought I’d registered at.
The card didn’t work, but the door was opened by a male “kid”, maybe 17 years old. Behind him was another dozen like him, all speaking Spanish. I apologized and left. This was two years ago. Was the motel 6 manager complicit? The parking lot should have been near-full.
Looking back, perhaps with a dozen more Motel 6 rooms filled in this manner—and the 18-wheeler—something sinister was going on.
Forgot to add that white vans are reportedly often nearby where missing children are last seen.
It is creepy, and I’m sure those kids were being trafficked. I was staying in a Georgia state park cottage this fall and I noticed that they all had signs on the front door in English and in Spanish giving a help number for either victims of trafficking or people who thought they were witnessing it.
Apparently it was the practice of traffickers to rent these cottages - which are large and rather off the beaten path - to stash their “cargo” as they head further north.
I was in a similar situation. My take? I have two options. How would I feel if I were wrong about each?
If I thought the guy was innocent so I did nothing and later found out I was wrong, I would feel terrible.
If I thought the guy was guilty so I reported him and later found out he was innocent, I would feel foolish.
I can live with foolish.
I think you trusted your gut. I’m not sure why so many no longer do. Not just what your eyes told you, but your gut.
Was this child trafficking? I don’t know, but while a drug can be sold once, a child trafficked for sex can be sold over and over again.
Open borders, sanctuary cities = human trafficking.
A van should never be judged by the color of its paint job, but by the content of its cargo, unless of course the van is painted black. That usually means the FIB is rounding up Trump voters.
Then he would have been fine with 8 rooms for the crowd.
OPM would foot the bill.
Did you call the police?
Our tax dollars paid for the van.
Option 3, you call the police and they nvestigate you for wrong thinking and a hate crime.
With that cross on his temple, he’s obviously a Christian foster Dad who’s into body art. No worries. /sarc
