I've always believed this was in evidence when Tim Tebow was blackballed by the NFL. He was an in-your-face christian. HE talked about Jesus all the time. It made lefty NFL owners uncomfortable. But black players talk about Jesus all the time too, why would the NFL owners allow that? Because they said "oh that's just superstitious blacks, they don't know any better' and laughing. But when Tebow, a white guy, was going on TV over it they just couldn't take it.

Not that some will say Tebow wasn't that good at football. Come on, backup QBs that suck way worse that Tebow kick around the league for years and years and years. It was the overt christian behavior (including, ironically, kneeling on the field - in prayer) that drove them insane.
