Six striking parallels.
I recently wrote a column wherein I accused the American Left and its wholly owned subsidiary, the Democrat party, of using Fascist or Nazi tactics in their determination to permanently transform the nation into a one-party hybrid socialist state by exploiting nonexistent “systemic racism” and baseless fears of “white supremacy.” This characterization did not set well with the gullible and self-righteous Democrat voters I know or those who contacted me. They, rather vociferously, claimed that the utilization of Nazi tactics only applies to the American right and that they, the left, are only motivated by caring for the people.
However, any thoughtful and unemotional examination of the tactics the Nazi Party used to gain and maintain power in the 1920’s and 30’s will reveal numerous stark similarities to those being used by the left and the Democrat Party today.
First, racial division was a central component of Nazi political strategy and philosophy. The Nazi Party was, without doubt, the most racially obsessed political party in human history. Today’s Democrat party is second only to the Nazi Party in their racial obsession. Every piece of legislation, every accusation against their opponents, every aspect of American society, even weather and climate is framed in racism.
The Nazi Party’s obsession with race focused on their perverted belief in the inferiority and superiority of the races. This opened the door for blaming various racial groups for all the problems facing the country. The American left are claiming the root cause of virtually all problems facing the nation is “systemic racism” as theoretically instigated by one particular race.

Second, the Nazi Party was fixated on censorship and eliminating any cultural institution, publication or speech that did not fully support them.

They seem to be reading from the same playbook.
One aspect should be pointed out here...the Nazis marginally gained ground prior to October 1929. After the stock market crash, the economy and financial stability was headed back down to the way it was between 1919 and 1925. The Nazis gained ground because of the downward spiral of the German economy.
As the economy soured, radio stepped in (like social media does today) and everything was paved for Nazi gains.
Jonah Goldberg wrote a fine book “Liberal Fascism” which provided excellent documentation of how Progressivism, going back to Woodrow Wilson, is really Fascism. Goldberg took the topic from Wilson, to FDR, to LBJ and beyond. The Democrats are just Fascists.
But Goldberg is a huge disappointment because, for some ungodly reason, he stopped short of calling Obama a Fascist. Goldberg seemed to be afraid to touch Obama and held back from saying Obama was a continuation of this awful trend.
And, predictably, Goldberg saw Trump as a fascist. Goldberg saw a guy who wanted freedom, individual responsibility, lower taxes, less government, fewer wars, and more honest reporting of the news, and Goldberg concluded: Boy, that guy is just like Hitler.

Those that learn nothing from history are doomed to repeat failures.
Another inescapable parallel between 1920s-1930s Germany, and what is going on right now is the fact that Anti-Semitism is *also* a major component. It hasn’t been this trendy and socially acceptable to scapegoat t3h j0000z for almost a century. And just like everything else, it started on the College Campuses in 2005 with Israeli Apartheid Week (IAW) and Boycott-Divest-Sanction (BDS).
Actually, the rise of the Nazis was due to the inability of the Weimar State to control their antifa, and the fact that there was considerable sympathy for the German Left within the state law enforcement apparatus.

Yes, the German antifa was the communist disrupters, just like they are here. There are certainly differences between National Socialists and International Socialists, but they are both disgustingly evil.

Don’t try to pretend that our “conservative” political leaders aren’t in on it too—and that the American corporate elite haven’t been prime backers of both movements.
Re differences:
The National Socialists - that would be the Nazis, for all the lefty blog watchers out there - had really really really zippy uniforms and snazzy boots.
That’s about the only difference. Scum is still scum, even in Hugo Boss or Armani. Both were excellent at murdering innocent people who couldn’t shoot back...because they allowed themselves to be disarmed.
HR 1 equivalent to the Enabling Act, just with more stealth and subterfuge.
In the 1930’s the German Gov’t was totally compromised and all legislative moves were predicated towards one line of governmental thought, the same way Nazis solidified their power. The current branches of gov’t have been compromised just like the German Gov’t. Instead of being independent for checks and balances purposes, the Dems have solidified their positions by entitlements and giveaways. The branches are compromised as are the DOJ, FBI, and the news media has become the Goebbels of liberal thought by abject investigative reporting and financial give away Federal Programs that the American Taxpayer cannot payfor.
Keep looking to Nazis as your nemesis and the CCP will be laughing so hard their sides will split while they are rolling on the floor.
In case anyone missed it, WWII ended 76 years ago and all real Nazis are either dead or about to be dead.
In case anyone missed it, the CCP has penetrated every single major corporation, utility, government agency, and all branches of the Military, bought the recent Presidential election, and hosts of politicians - including the installed President and Vice President.
In case anyone missed it, the hallmark of the rein of Mao was the utter hatred and destruction of all things to do with traditional Chinese culture, but no one can ‘see’ that reflected in the Left’s actions today.
Yet somehow its the Nazis ... is everyone doing Fentanyl these days?
Rat Party Headquarters more closely resembles *East* Germany than *Nazi* Germany. *Much* more closely!
