he University of Oxford is considering scrapping sheet music for being 'too colonial' after staff raised concerns about the 'complicity in white supremacy' in music curriculums.
Professors are set to reform their music courses to move away from the classic repertoire, which includes the likes of Beethoven and Mozart, in the wake of the Black Lives Matter movement.
University staff have argued that the current curriculum focuses on 'white European music from the slave period', according to The Telegraph.

I have a few long dead ancestors who were graduated from Oxford.

I remember, in the 1950s, some White Hillbilly kids who believed they did not need to learn anything. They would put their heads on the desk and refuse to learn. Most dropped out by the 7th and 8th grade.

Of course he gets a pass,he was a black man exploited by the german slave drivers . Beethoven was forced to write useless sheet music, so others could steal his mojo music!

Distilled down to the ultimate aim of this movement: the elimination of Christendom, and (they hope) belief in Christ.
Classical music is the basis as well as teacher for many other genres of music and much brilliance is to be had from classical. If they choose to go this direction, it is like departing from offering a highly sophisticated, upper graduate education to going back to a 3rd grade curriculum.
