he University of Oxford is considering scrapping sheet music for being 'too colonial' after staff raised concerns about the 'complicity in white supremacy' in music curriculums.
Professors are set to reform their music courses to move away from the classic repertoire, which includes the likes of Beethoven and Mozart, in the wake of the Black Lives Matter movement.
University staff have argued that the current curriculum focuses on 'white European music from the slave period', according to The Telegraph.

I am so sick of starting to read an article and then having to check to see if it was written by the Babylon Bee. Sadly this one isn’t.

It looks like the only way we’re going to make the race-baiting, Neanderthal “minorities” happy is to go back to the Stone Age. Any Neanderthal will tell you that you don’t need sheet music when beating on a log with a club while flapping you lips can get the job done.

A prankster could have a bit of fun with this. “The windows in Oxford buildings were all installed by white craftsmen. I demand that every last window on campus be removed, and be replaced by minority craftspeople!”
Seeing as “woke” administrators always fold to such silly demands, Oxford would probably do it.
This is on par with eliminating blind auditions for filling orchestra seats because not enough women and BIPOCs were being selected.

These people seriously are INSANE.
(I actually do have some of Grandma’s sheet music from the early 1900s with terribly racist covers. They’re “put away”, and not on the piano.)
Add in some vulgar racism, cuss every third word, degrade females, and threaten police lives and it should be ok.
In any case trying to find racism in anything imaginable hopefully won’t be a political strategy for long, everyone is laughing at it now.
Some people here blame the Europeans for getting the ball rolling with the theories that all of this is based on and there is some truth to that. But the USA took those foundations, expanded on them significantly, made them extremely virulent and dangerous, and through the influence of our entertainment, media, and tech industries infected the entire western world with them. And yes, there are dark, powerful figures both here and internationally working behind the scenes to spread it. But the common American is not entirely innocent as we let it get to a point where they can do this.
Do these numb-nuts realize the "slave period" they are referring to is all of history? When didn't mankind enslave people?
Even such a wonderful place as Oxford is allowing the crap to drip from the left.
