Its what they get for jumping on a bandwagon that started in America. Mind you that bandwagon has dubious aspects to it the Brits are way too slow to investigate.
Some people here blame the Europeans for getting the ball rolling with the theories that all of this is based on and there is some truth to that. But the USA took those foundations, expanded on them significantly, made them extremely virulent and dangerous, and through the influence of our entertainment, media, and tech industries infected the entire western world with them. And yes, there are dark, powerful figures both here and internationally working behind the scenes to spread it. But the common American is not entirely innocent as we let it get to a point where they can do this.
