An upscale Detroit restaurant has sparked an outrage among stoners and social justice warriors for posting their dress code on Facebook — which includes not stinking of marijuana. The Caucus Club Detroit also reminded people that hoodies and jerseys are not acceptable attire and that people should, at minimum, be wearing business casual attire if they come in to eat.
“Seriously people, hoodies and jerseys are not business attire. Neither are ball caps 🧢 and sneakers 👟. Most importantly, if you smell like marijuana don’t even think of stepping inside the Caucus Club,” the post read. They also used the hashtags #keepitclassy, #nocheechandchong, and #theydontservehotdogs.

Racism? Almost all of the potheads I know are white.
When I rode on the DART rail to work downtown, half the riders were black people who all smelled like skunks.
In other news, there is a remaining upscale restaurant in the Detroit area.
To finish my thought: and young whites are often slobs who wear hoodies and jerseys and sagging pants. I was thinking of checking out a church in my area until I saw a photo of the young pastor delivering a sermon while wearing tennis shoes and a Seahawks football jersey.
An upscale resteraunt in Detroit?
Michigan? They should be kissing the feet of their pig governor for even having the privilege of operating a restaurant.
I’d take as many as I could seat at this point. Even if they smelled like bernie sanders.
I loved going to Greektown when I lived there.
Believe it or not, there are some nice things in Detroit.
A couple of years ago I was in a grocery store and saw an older man wearing a suit and a fedora. Looked right out of the 1940s or 1950s and I thought that it is a shame people don’t dressy classy anymore.
Remember when coaches wore suits?
I can’t believe I still see youth and 20-somethings still wearing their ballcap backwards. That is so 90’s. It looked lame then and still does.
Bill Belichick doesn’t. Guy looks like he crawled out of bed after a hard night of drinking.
Could you imagine Vince Lombardi dressing like that?
I see guys in their 40’s and 50’s wearing those stupid baseball caps backwards. Who first started this fashion atrocity? I remember seeing a movie with former boxer and one time “movie star” Tex Cobb wearing a ball cap backwards in a movie back about 1987.
NBA coaches wear suits.
.
But reeking of alcohol and stumbling in drunk to drink more and drive is just fine? Sounds like weed bigots to me.
In the 40s and early 50s it apparently was a thing to dress like that at baseball games. With all the fat slobs sloshing beer and ketchup swabbed hotdogs all over the place I would probably not do that today.
Busses were SEMTA from Downriver... Don’t get on the Detroit busses - they stopped at the city line...
If the supermarket is busy, most of the time I go in one, I smell it on someone. Sometimes reeking, as if they toked up in their vehicles before they came in. It could be from anyone, either white or black, usually on the younger side of life, though. One time I was in a convenience store and the guy in front of me dropped some in a small plastic bag after pulling money out of his pocket, didn’t notice it, so I picked it up, and gave it to him from my closed hand, after he was done checking out. He seemed quite appreciative. Black dude.
