Trying to figure out if this case is about “the letter of the law” or “the spirit of the law”

Obviously, if he was only taking a swig when stopped at a stop sign. he must have seen the stop sign. If he was drunk, he would not have seen the stop sign. Therefore, he must have been stone cold sober. I rest my case.

For the Dumb Asses at NBC15News;
Jim Beam is not. Can not. Will never be Bourbon.
Jim Beam is a Tennessee whiskey
A damn fine Tennessee sipping whiskey
Therefor it cannot be Bourbon

Well, technically, he is correct.
I’ll bet it didn’t work though.

That was a nice try. Reminds me of my 100+ year old great Aunt where upon her final fender bender exclaimed,”They saw me coming and should have got out of the way.
I wonder back in the horse and buggy days, did they pull the reins instead of keys.

From the looks of that old boy I’d say he’s probably a better driver when he’s drinking than when he’s sober. That’s the face of a man whose blood alcohol level never get’s below the legal limit.
