Republican South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem signed into law three bills concerning gun ownership and the use of deadly force earlier this week, fortifying Second Amendment protections for gun owners in the state.
The laws include restrictions for gun seizure and fee reductions for concealed-carry permits, as well as clarification for the use of deadly force for self-defense—also known as the “stand your ground” law.

Good!
Good for her, but she still caved and showed weakness to the NCAA....
Had no problem signing these but failed to sign sh*t into law to protect women and women sports. Yeah, okie dokie.....
So she CAN sign things?
My introduction to this issue was the day Noem sent the bill back to the Legislature.
I am just trying to understand what happened - politically and publicly - before the bill landed on her desk.
Good, now ban hairy backed men from joining the girls teams in sports.
Gun rights trump playing games rights.
Good for Noem! She’s my kind of gal!
“Good for her, but she still caved and showed weakness to the NCAA....”
Good! Some people are still mad at her for failing to defend the socialist Title IX programs and the funding that goes with them, though. ;)
No other political cause is more important than supporting our rights as confirmed by our Second Amendment. Without respect for the right to keep and bear arms, all other rights would be violated.
Nice try, Kristi. Once we’re stabbed in the back, we no longer trust you.
I think something in the bill didn’t meet muster and would be challenged in court.
She simply sent it back to be reworked so that it would get an ok from appeals courts.
“So she CAN sign things?”
And considering that there’s a good chance she’ll have to defend it in court, there goes the ‘excuse’ that risk of litigation is sufficient grounds for vetoing legislation.
So much for all that crap about selling out suck it up.
That bill hasn’t been completed yet. Why not wait to see what the final bill says?
Thanks for that news from the Band Wagon
Tell the others on the anti Noem band wagon to stand by
Without getting into the details, the NCAA is scared shitless that the big conferences are going to break away from the NCAA and start negotiating between themselves on playoffs, TV dollars etc.
The networks aren’t going to pay the individual conferences anymore money than they’re getting paid now. If the conferences break away, their audiences are not going to increase. If you want to punish the NCAA, quit supporting major college sports altogether. There’s no point in conservatives helping fund the Critical Race Theory Departments.
I’ve pretty much reached that point, where I feel dirty just watching them. I may check scores, but that’s pretty much it.
