1. To not spread the virus, which might then kill others.
2. To help end lockdowns.
3. They may hope to become older than 60 themselves, someday, and don’t want to die from it then.

Teacher’s unions wield outsized political power in many countries (the USA and Mexico as well). They were early targets of Communist infiltration/organization. Yes, schools are there to indoctrinate kids into being subservient Leftists. And, they do a good job. Disappointing that the GOP has allowed this to progress over the past 30 to 40 years. If I were President, it would be a top priority in the first 100 days to do everything and anything to promote school competition and choice, even if it meant one term, it's that important.
Because young people many times live with older & more vulnerable folks in the house. If young healthy get sick with covid, BEFORE THE SERIOUS SYMPTOMS show up, they can exude millions of virus cells.
If a young healthy person has no such vulnerable people living in the house, it makes some sense to skip the vaccine. Because chances of their mortality from covid is very low.
Dumb reasons for a healthy person to get a so called vaccine. I think we can assume that people at risk will get it, so again, makes no sense for people Not at risk to get it. They can’t give it to a high risk person if the high risk people are all vaccinated. Seems like a really selfish thing to do especially when there is a waiting list.
