She was hooking up with someone else and this is her hare brained plan to not have her bf find out.

Baker acted? What the heck is that? And what reporter uses it without defining it?

Just past the door she found a bottle on a table with a note on it. It said, “Drink me”.

From the article:
Police said Kennedy appeared to be coherent and didn't feel she needed to be Baker Acted. The police report states Kennedy's mother was contacted. She told police her daughter has a history of mental illness and is a frequent user of illegal narcotics.
She also said that her daughter has a history of doing odd things and making bad decisions.
Gee, ya think????

Not believing. I could believe escaping from her “boyfriend” the day before.

Dogs find enough sustenance from eating their own poo. I don't think that's literally true.
Your comment reminds of the time I interviewed someone for a sales position in our small engineering services company. The candidate said that he had previously worked for Terminix, and he was the only salesman there who had become certified as an exterminator to better know his product.
He added, "Did you know that cockroaches can survive on their own excrement?"
To which I replied, "Doesn't the efficiency of that run down eventually? Isn't there some sort of thermodynamic/entropic limit at play here?"
BTW, we hired him and he was good. But, he didn't answer my question.

Something’s not right. 3 weeks naked in a rat and snake infested sewer seems unbelievable

Well we know one thing, her immune system is pretty much bulletproof now, no worries about getting COVID.
