In fact, when you explain its origins in Hong Kong and the freedom fighters there, I think it adds a sense of shame and show them they are on the wrong side of history... the 1984 George Orwell side.

The Trump administration attempted to enact a policy that would force American universities to reveal cooperation with chapters of the Confucius Institute. President Joe Biden quietly revoked the policy a few days after his inauguration. Axios reported that in the final days of his presidency, Trump enacted a policy that would compel primary, secondary, and post-secondary institutions to disclose all contracts and transactions with the Confucius Institute. Under the Trump policy, schools that do not report information would lose certification for the Student and Exchange Visitor Program. Records from the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs revealed that Biden nixed the policy on January 26. Right now, the U$D is the world’s reserve currency. But when the U.S. loses the leader position the $26 trillion national debt becomes very real. Right now the dollar remains artificially stable because every country conducting commodity trades and other financial actions trade with U.S. dollars. China wants it to be either a basket currency or the Chinese Yuan, preference is the latter.
As China asserts its influence around the world----w/ plenty of help from the Bidens----this change in the world’s reserve currency will happen, when it does, it will be like someone pulled the plug on the U.S. financial system.

The term baizuo was apparently coined in a 2010 article published on Renren Network by user Li Shuo, entitled The Fake Morality of the Western White Left and the Chinese Patriotic Scientists (simplified Chinese: 西方白左和中国爱国科学家的伪道德; traditional Chinese: 西方白左和中國愛國科學家的偽道德; pinyin: Xīfāng báizuǒ hé zhōngguó àiguó kēxuéjiā de wěidàodé), initially used as a general critique of certain socialist values in the American left.[3] No further use of the term is known until 2013, where on Chinese forum Zhihu through 2013–2015, the term evolved to criticize some people among the left who seemingly advocate for positive slogans like peace and equality to boast their sense of moral superiority, but are ignorant of real-world consequences, and utilize destructive behavior like political sacrifice and identity politics.[3][6]
This term was widely famous in Hong Kong when Hong Kong people used zuojiao (simplified Chinese: 左胶; traditional Chinese: 左膠; pinyin: zuǒjiāo) in 2014 Hong Kong protests.
