Today is the one year anniversary of “It’s just the flu, bro”. Let’s summarize all of the important ways that we were right over the past year: 1.the Coronavirus is approximately the same in terms, of lethality, as the flu. 2.the government shouldn’t strip away liberties in order to make people be/feel safe from germs 3.kids aren’t affected by coronavirus (don’t discuss extremely rare exceptions as that would be stupid) 4.vitamin D and zinc will boost your immune system and provide some level of protection against coronavirus, or any virus 5.each person is responsible for their own immune system - it is not a government function 6.mask wearing did very little to help anybody 7.the CDC is full of crap 8.Fauci is full of crap 9.if we aren’t vigilant in opposing this tyranny now there will be long term reductions in our liberty due to medical socialism/tyranny 10.those who profit from Coronavirus do not want this to end (vaccine manufacturers, politicians who like tyranny, contact tracing companies, etc.)
There were many other ways that we Flubros were right, too numerous to mention here. But we should remember that we have been the voices of reason who helped our fellow Freepers from getting seduced by those who would strip liberties from us.

If you're out in public and discuss Covid, you never know who is listening that lost a loved one or had a bad case of it. After a year of this, everybody knows the elderly and people with health problems are the highest risk for bad outcomes. I am getting up there and I am in the danger zone by virtue of age. My elderly parents pretty much treat a new day as a bonus day. They take precautions, but aren't barricaded in their home.
A lot of things, probably few of them COVID.
But I see I’m speaking with a delusional son of Kozac.
I’m in favor of life-saving medicines keeping people alive, just like President Trump. Unlike Democrat governors who decided COVID-19 infected patients should be shipped off to nursing homes to spread the disease and kill tens of thousands there.
You can call me whatever names you like. It will not change the simple, verifiable fact that you’re wrong.
We find agreement on that.
The greater question is: life-saving medicines distributed at the barrel of a gun (figuratively or literally), or voluntary sign ups?
I’ll only ever support voluntary sign ups. Each individual has every right to make their own decisions about what’s best for their own health and wellbeing in consultation with their healthcare provider, family, and whoever else’s input they need to reach their own informed decision.
Sorry, no. I have seen no hard evidence that it is indeed being "treated differently". Just a lot of "flubro" rumors.

precisely so; I do not discuss this virus with anyone unless he/she gets in my face about it; on the other hand, someone who has lost a relative should be able to understand the frustration the mitigation has caused...I talk about it here, however, because we are expected to speak plainly...

about what is the poster you respond to incorrect...? it is in fact undeniable that the 515k people you ask about have multiple medical issues, a number of which could easily have led to their deaths absent covid...how is it ‘verifiable’ that each of the 515k have died from covid...?
