An official Twitter account of the U.S. Marines has apologized for tweets lacking 'professionalism' after calling Fox News host Tucker Carlson a 'boomer' and hitting out at other critics in a debate over pregnant service members.
'We are human and we messed up. We intended to speak up for female Marines and it was an effort to support them,' the II Marine Expeditionary Force wrote in a tweet on Saturday.
'They are a crucial part to our corps and we need them to know that. We will adjust fire and ensure the utmost professionalism in our tweets,' the apology continued.
It followed a furious backlash to remarks last week from Carlson, who had mocked President Joe Biden for touting the Air Force's new maternity flight suits, and saying the military's emphasis on gender parity 'made a mockery of the U.S. military.'
Military officials from all service branches took to social media slamming his remarks and a Pentagon spokesman said that Carlson had 'essentially demeaned the entire US military'.
Amid the furor, II MEF had tweeted at Carlson: 'Get right before you get left, boomer.'
Carlson, who was born in 1969, would be considered a member of Generation X, the cohort that followed the Baby Boomers.
When a Twitter user responded to the remark saying, 'Please focus on China and not Tucker Carlson,' the Marine account replied mockingly: 'Come back when you've served and been pregnant.'
II MEF deleted the tweets and issued the apology after KTTV reporter Bill Melugin remarked: 'Pretty wild to see this tweet from an official US military account...'

Of course not. This was behavior unbecoming of any uniformed member of our armed forces but there will be no consequences. That would require discipline and corrective actions, neither of which are likely in today’s PC military.
This morning, there was a new tweet reply from the MEF: “My existence while grotesque and incomprehensible, to you, saves lives. You don’t want the woke-truth because deep down in places you talk about parties; you want me on that wall, you need me on that - - oh, wait.. excuse me...crap... my water just broke...”
I'm certain the Twitterverse Marines most vocal critics are other Marines who called these REMFs out.

I have a nephew on Active Duty in the USMC, and another who did his turn as a Jarhead. I’m immensely proud of them, and know they are uncomfortable and embarrassed and even a bit PO’d at the Woke hjinx that’s sweeping through the Corps, and the other branches of our Armed Forces.

The punks in charge of the military twitter accounts had their feelings hurt by Tucker’s words. Time to get new PR staff in the military.
I’ve seen the same attempt to shut down the criticism of those who haven’t served here at FR. It’s ugly and un-American.
I guess they don’t do Court Martials anymore. That’s become something seen in mostly in old movies.

Which means what, slick? I suspect it means that you never had the heuvos to actually serve as a Marine, didja?
The USMC might want to remember that the only reason they exist today is the admiration the American people have for them. And specifically, CONSERVATIVE Americans.
There have been countless attempts to blend the USMC into the Army in the last 100 years.
We always survived because America truly saw them as “their own” and respected what the Corps consistently produced.
That’s not high school girls grinning as they perform a Hollywood fireman’s carry on the beach for 25 years. (no gear, no rifle, no helmet, no armor, and uniform nice and clean and dry. That’s not pregnant women flying combat planes of being 0311 Platoon Commanders.
Flip the finger to America Commandant, see how many friends you don’t have next time the Army and Space Force comes after your budget.
That’s a great letter. Kudos to Ted Cruz. This didn’t start with Tucker Carlson. And it won’t end with him either. The disturbing trends that we’ve seen in the U.S. military have been developing over the last three decades. There’s been a leftward drift among the officer class, and it’s sadly unsurprising that we’re seeing military leadership drifting into policy disputes and planting itself firmly in “woke” camp.

He’s your typical affirmative-action hire black. That’s what Dems do - they elevate black people into key positions just because they’re black and not based on their experience or merit. And they always give them a token position such as HUD (Nothing against Dr. Carson obviously). That’s why almost all elected black Democrats are either corrupt or incompetent. Just look at the Mayor of Jackson MS handling the water crisis. The fake news is blaming the Governor and muh racism for it though.
