He is trying not to spread from one vulnerable patient to another. Probably not to protect himself

Full change in between patients.

My doctor only wears a mask and requires anybody in the office, employee or patient, to wear one too. She schedules patients where nobody is waiting in the waiting room. You can bring anybody with you. If you do the person waits in the hall.

I can understand this because so many doctor’s see mostly elderly patients.

When I go out in public I wear the mask because I have asthma but it’s not really just about me. My husband is 82 and scared out of his mind that I might get it. I worry about bringing it home to him. Since I’m his caretaker I can’t afford to get sick. I’m not talking about dying. I’m talking about being down in the bed for a week or in the hospital. He wouldn’t be able to take care of my dogs or me. There are things that I do that he could never do. He can’t remember if he ate lunch or got the mail. No way he could remember the other things that would need to be done. I do everything I can do to stay well. It’s not about fear for myself. If I didn’t have him to take care of or my animals I wouldn’t care.

Nope. I followed him out the door and he walked directly into the room next to mine. As he was closing the door, I heard him say “So how are you today Mr. ...?” I did see him toss his gloves into the trash and pull another pair from his onesie pocket as we were leaving.

I got to my car and made a 20 minute call before I left so I wouldn’t be caught driving while holding a device (against the law here) and Mr. “I Know What’s Best For You” came out, removed his head and face coverings and lit up a cigarette. That man has zero credibility with me, but I need him for now.

++++++++++++++++++

Just playing Devil’s advocate again today, but doesn’t his mask and gloves protect the patients and their masks protect him?

Wouldn’t a sterilized cloth gown do the same and be easier on the environment rather all the plastic wasted?

And don’t people KNOW where plastic comes from???

Oh yeah, right. Do you know how expensive those suits are and how in short supply they are?
