My doctor only wears a mask and requires anybody in the office, employee or patient, to wear one too. She schedules patients where nobody is waiting in the waiting room. You can bring anybody with you. If you do the person waits in the hall.
I can understand this because so many doctor’s see mostly elderly patients.
When I go out in public I wear the mask because I have asthma but it’s not really just about me. My husband is 82 and scared out of his mind that I might get it. I worry about bringing it home to him. Since I’m his caretaker I can’t afford to get sick. I’m not talking about dying. I’m talking about being down in the bed for a week or in the hospital. He wouldn’t be able to take care of my dogs or me. There are things that I do that he could never do. He can’t remember if he ate lunch or got the mail. No way he could remember the other things that would need to be done. I do everything I can do to stay well. It’s not about fear for myself. If I didn’t have him to take care of or my animals I wouldn’t care.
Are you taking prophylactic Ivermectin?
You’re a very loving wife. Your husband is lucky.
I’m really sorry about your husband. It’s hard to be that caretaker and no, you can’t be down.
Do you have a back up plan should something happen?
