The Cancel Culture will love their Communist Chinese Masters, ... for a day or two.
Technically, I’m in at the tail-end of the Baby Boom. I don’t have a lot of respect for the average Baby Boomer. But Gen X has always struck me as a generation that was handed a somewhat raw deal and actually came out OK despite it. I certainly can’t think of any other generation that might have the fortitude to help turn to country around.
Like Gen X is going to save the future? Fuggetaboutit.
As a Gen xer (born in ‘76), one caveat: we are way outnumbered by the boomers and Millies/Zers.
The Muppet Show? Did they hurt Animal?

Just take it from Mammy and say “I ez free”.
I loved her. Still love her. A shame she’s been cancelled.
Those of us born in the 80s and prior are the only hope. My wife believes the left showed their hand one generation too soon.
Time will tell.
2. I realized any sentence said on the news, tv, a commentary (even if not meant to be racist) sometimes will make me have that “ooohhh that's not going to go over well” thought
3. Even the most logical of conclusions or deductive inference based on cultural Norms is now “racist”. My local liquor store was recently robbed. The stole only the Hennessy and all the Newport cigarettes. When the manager pointed to this as his reasoning for suspecting a black man who frequently lurks nearby rather than a white man who had been unruly early, the cops said it was racially profiling and not relevant to the investigation.
4. When someone cuts me off, break checks me, or is just rude in general on the road... I feel guilty for thinking “bet they are black” but 99.99% I'm correct. ( I live in Atlanta area and it just is that way. My friends from the North or West even say they have never seen anything like it. That the narrative is we are racist here but it is the complete reverse and far more racist where they previously resided)
The point is, being someone who grew up during the original indoctrination of the 90’s and early 2000’s, I see how ingrained it is that I or anyone caucasian have racist intent on any logical thought, statements that could be misinterpreted, or cultural discussion. Even now I feel guilty for this comment. Questioning myself if someone will misinterpret my intent or sincerity of thought without labeling or dismissing it as racist.
X is too small to make the change by themselves. Conservatives need to cancel the corporations that buy into this garbage. For example, Disney stock should be nearing zero right now - as long as it isn’t, cancel culture’s victims are not taking their situation seriously enough.
Is fascism genetic?

Who’s working on the vaccine and or DNA splicing?
I miss the Land o’ Lakes girl. I mean what harm did SHE pose?

I am a Boomer and cannot say ONE WORD about politics or religion to my Gen X children. They don't want discourse. If you don't agree with them you are the enemy.
I love my kids, but to even get time with them I need to keep my mouth shut on politics, religion and pro police topics.
The only way to turn things is for the 80% silent majority to take over the agenda. I don't know how or if that can happen.
I have suggested to DJT Jr. on Twitter that he should convince his dad to run for House of Representatives in 2022, get selected as Speaker, fix the entire Federal electoral mess (at least), and then run for POTUS in 2024 (or be the spearhead for the Republican nominee).
Sorry. I’m not eating the sh*t sandwich so the Boomers and Millenials can benefit. As a very early Gen X’er every single asset class was inflated — education, housing, etc. I’ve made my own way. And will defend it. Boomers and Millenials are cordially invited to go have sex with themselves. Some people are too stupid to be free.
The threat posed by “cancel culture” to our entire cultural heritage is truly terrifying. I’m worried that it will move into sites such as ITunes, the Internet Archive, and Project Gutenberg, thereby denying public access to thousands of online books, articles, movies and musical works.
That’s us ! 69
I agree.
Sorry, I’m a Gen Xer and most of my cohort, from what I’ve seen, are complete dumbfucks.
Thanks — Bookmarked
Those of us in the genX era are quite but ready. We are the Red Dawn generation, we were ready to fight the Russians by the time we were in grade school. We were the last generation to have guns in the gun racks of our trucks in the high school parking lot.
Beware our generation, we may have been forgotten but do not confuse that with not being prepared. And we know what freedom is, the way it is supposed to work, and were taught what the founders built for us.
