Technically, I’m in at the tail-end of the Baby Boom. I don’t have a lot of respect for the average Baby Boomer. But Gen X has always struck me as a generation that was handed a somewhat raw deal and actually came out OK despite it. I certainly can’t think of any other generation that might have the fortitude to help turn to country around.
Thanks for the vote of confidence, but to quote several of the books of wisdom on which we were raised:
This mess is so big and so deep and so tall, we can’t pick it up. There is no way at all.
They already have packed up Dr. Seuss and are undoubtedly rounding up a Thing or two.
Or to switch over to Robert McCloskey, “We’re going to have some weather. She’s a commin’. It’s gonna blow.”

I’m Gen X. Parents were Boomers, grandparents were greatest generation. Reagan in HS, Clinton in college. Early 50’s.
I cannot stand the new world. There are many of us.
