DOJ Says At Least 100 More People Could Be Charged Over Capitol Attack

The Justice Department says it expects to charge at least 100 more people in connection with the storming of the Capitol, describing the investigation into the deadly attack as one of the biggest in U.S. history.

Federal prosecutors disclosed the estimate in court papers Friday as they seek more time to gather and sift through evidence in the sprawling probe before having to move cases to trial. More than 300 people have already been charged in the Jan. 6 assault on the Capitol by a pro-Trump mob seeking to disrupt the certification of Electoral College votes.

"The investigation and prosecution of the Capitol Attack will likely be one of the largest in American history, both in terms of the number of defendants prosecuted and the nature and volume of the evidence," federal prosecutors said in a filing Friday in a case against nine alleged members or associates of the Oath Keepers paramilitary group.

They overcharging more people than the DA did in Waco over that biker brawl (with undercover agents embedded in the ranks of the biker gangs).

And how many have been arrested, charged and will have trials for the Portland riots? Any idea how many are under investigation? Can’t be more than 4 or 5 so far. Yep, equal justice for Americans.

Those that committed violence should be charged. Those that did not should not. Pretty biased considering the lack of charges against Antifa and BLM.

99% will be convicted of misdemeanor trespassing.

But Nancy and her media must have their say.

Do federal prosecutors swear to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States?

Just wondering if they mean it or just mouth the words thoughtlessly like the Democrats do, never intending to keep their oaths.

99% will be convicted of misdemeanor trespassing.

Those who were peaceful will plead to misdemeanors after being threatened with felonies that carry years in jail. Some of those who broke through doors and windows, or battled police inside the building will probably not be so lucky. Examples must be made.

Meanwhile in Portland only one antifa communist terrorist was arrested in the attack on the federal court house, again.

And what about the psycho who slammed a woman’s car with a cinder block? He wasn’t even wearing a mask and threatened to attack a film crew.

He’s a psychopath and needs to be brought down BAMN before he kills someone. Oh, our FBI, led by Clueless Wray, is on the scene. Never mind!

Judge releases Oath Keeper ‘commander’ Thomas Caldwell, 65, and says there is no evidence he entered the Capitol during MAGA riot

A Virginia veteran who was accused of being a member of the Oath Keepers and charged over the Capitol riot was released on bail on Friday, as the judge in his case questioned the strength of the charges against him.

Thomas Caldwell, 65, was in poor health, Judge Amit Mehta noted, presiding over a Washington DC court.

Federal prosecutors accused him of plotting for months in advance with fellow associates of the anti-government Oath Keepers militia.

The UK Daily Mail reporter needs some educating since one cannot be an oath keeper and be “anti-government”...oath-keeping, by definition, supports the very foundation of constitutional government.
