I just looked out my living room window and it's snowing. First time I've seen that since I moved here.

Yes the trick question is which city is further west? Reno Nevada or Los Angeles California?
The answer is Reno, which is counterintuitive intuitive because Nevada is generally east of California.
I switched out Las Vegas with Reno and the answer here is the expected answer - LA us further west, but because people know the trick question about Reno and LA they may guess Las Vegas as further west.

Itās been snowing in St. George, Utah, this morning too. Thatās two hours east of Vegas. Weāve got blossoms on the trees here and snow on the ground. Interesting mix.

Iāve not seen snow, but I have been in Las Vegas in below freezing temperatures before.The all-time recorded low in Las Vegas is 8 degrees. They get plenty of radiational cooling, at least outside of town, in the desert, at night.
