...But it is avoidance. And the fact is, he should be having news conferences. And by news conferences, I don't mean questions he can ignore as he's led off the stage by first lady Jill Biden, holding his elbow to direct him if he turns the wrong way.
And I don't mean Biden reading from a teleprompter. He even has difficulty with that lately.
...Or answering questions about his environment czar, John Kerry, who arrogantly told thousands of workers who lost their jobs due to the Keystone pipeline cancellation that they could find jobs making solar panels. Mr. President, how much do solar panel workers make compared to union pipe fitters?
And questions about his son's business relationship with China. How is Hunter these days, Mr. President?
But at least Trump stood there many, many times, took questions and brawled with reporters. And Biden? He's nowhere man.

I think Konstantin Chernenko was more alert and accessible to the press than Biden.
The Democrats may expect to win all future Presidential races, especially if H.R. 1 becomes law, but having Kamala for 10 years less one day? I doubt it—too many arrogant prima donnas in the Democratic Party who see them as better qualified than she is. Seven years and part of the 8th was enough for Teddy Roosevelt and for Harry Truman. After 7+ years even the Democrats will be awfully tired or hearing her giggle.
8 years. News conferences have been a giant waste of time for decades. The only people who care about them are your opposition, and as we see in all this, they’ll find something to complain about even if you don’t do them.
I’ve heard every day he avoids them, he gets another day as “president”.
