Consumer goods conglomerate Unilever said Tuesday it will no longer use the word “normal” to advertise and package its beauty and personal care products and will ban the excessive photoshopping of models as part of its inclusivity policy.
The company, which owns skincare brands like Dove and Simple and haircare brands like TreSemme and TIGI, said the word “normal” will be removed from the packaging of at least 200 products within a year.
It also said it will increase the number of advertisements featuring people from diverse groups, and that it will not “digitally alter a person’s body shape, size, proportion or skin color in its brand advertising.”
Many skincare and hair products use phrases such as “for normal skin” or “normal hair,” and Unilever says its global research suggests that using “normal” as a descriptor “makes most people feel excluded.” …

Another jab at those of their customers who are melanin challenged. Heaven forbid some of our population wouldn’t feel “included” if they read whose skin/hair the product’s use is geared towards.
So completely weary of all the t.v. and printed media ads which feature the crowd which must be “included”. Another “Get Woke - Go Broke” saga.
What about people such as Dr. Fauci, who talk of when life will get back to normal, and a return to normality? So now it’s verboten to talk of normal situations or circumstances?

I hope Unilever replaces “normal” with “racist.” At least this would be an honest reflection of their position.
Advertising now is about as diverse as the NBA.
Lady Gaga now has a new makeup line and is selling her products on Amazon. In the picture Ads promoting her new product sold on Amazon, are transgenders, women, and hetero but gay I assume men, all wearing her makeup to promo her makeup line. So, no more beauty makeup for women. Oh no, now it is being advertised for the “it” generation, overtly promoting her product line to all sexes, he, she, it. Check it out on Amazon and behold the glory of her AD campaign.
