Good News, thanks to The Trump 3 vaccines and his taskforce policies over the past 12 months, The pandemic's effects on The United States are waning.

Once we have a cure for the common cold, teacher's will probably think about getting back to work, meanwhile keep paying your school taxes.

My vaccination is undocumented ... like an immigrant.

I’m Trans-Vaxxed.

I’d rather contract covid and abort it.

Unvaxxed Lives Matter!

Defund the ... CDC!

AVAB!

I’m a Long-Hauler and need perpetual Stimulus Checks, like a government employee.

1. Are people going to have to revaccinate for the Fall and will we be continually stuck in this cycle of masking and social distancing for the foreseeable future?
2. Since the numbers (which are questionable at best) are falling will we be lifting mask and social distancing restrictions or will we progress to two masks and only doubly-vaccinated people and meet inside?

Testing has not changed in the US.

"1. Are people going to have to revaccinate for the Fall and will we be continually stuck in this cycle of masking and social distancing for the foreseeable future?"

There may be a booster shot that becomes available toward the end of this year to improve effectiveness against some of the variants (Brazil, South Africa). Unless an incredibly bad variant were to emerge, I wouldn't expect restrictions to resume once they're off.

"2. Since the numbers (which are questionable at best) are falling will we be lifting mask and social distancing restrictions or will we progress to two masks and only doubly-vaccinated people and meet inside?"

Restrictions are already loosening in a lot of places. Texas, Wyoming, California, Connecticut, and others are ending a lot of their restrictions already. As new cases and (more importantly) deaths fall toward zero, remaining restrictions will go away as well.

...not until after the 2022 midterms at least, so the Dems can steal some Senate seats and get beyond this pesky 50-50 split. The GOP must defend 23 seats, so the plan is to continue the mail-in ballot fraud and take a few of those away. The Covid fear must continue to be stoked indefinitely.

“Testing has not changed in the US.”

Wrong-o!

Testing actually has changed in the U.S. based on the guidance that only those who are symptomatic are now being tested. They are now ignoring the significant majority of asymptomatic people who were being tested prior to January. The numbers are going to naturally drop.

Now is not the time to let our guard down. Only after the last case is cured and every single variant strain is completely and verifiably wiped out, and after every person has been vaccinated fully, can we start to begin to think about possibly reducing our defensive measures in a deliberate and abundantly cautious way, so that we can avoid the inevitable spike in new cases that could overwhelm our health care system. Okay?

Welcome news.

As you point out, vaccines are starting to bite into it. Thank you President Trump!

60 million Americans have had a first shot, heavily skewed toward the oldest and most vulnerable. Vaccination will inexorably squash COVID into the dirt.

Naturally acquired immunity from infection is probably still much greater, but the vaccine effect is catching up, and the precise targeting magnifies its effect on hospitalizations and deaths.

By the end of April, the 65+ year old population should basically all have had a first shot (who will take it).

COVID wards are already shrinking and closing in US hospitals.

Yep, even in NY those healthy 40 and up will start qualifying in two weeks. By April the JNJ vac will probably be available in local pharmacies.

Now that the new cases numbers are "conveniently" dropping after Biden's inauguration, the duplicitous, lying, unreliable CDC, speaks out of two sides of its mouth again when talking about precautions people need to take after they have been fully vaccinated.

Their messaging is confusing at minimum and plain old contradictory at best.

In my simple vernacular, I say it is all BS.

CDC: People fully vaccinated against COVID-19, DO NOT NEED to wear masks or social distance and avoid crowds

CDC: People fully vaccinated against COVID-19, STILL NEED to wear masks, social distance and avoid crowds

Do you have a link to that policy change? I haven’t seen any change in policy nor testing procedure.

“They are now ignoring the significant majority of asymptomatic people who were being tested prior to January. The numbers are going to naturally drop.”

I think he (2aProtectsTheRest) meant there was no change in US testing, in relation to the number of PCR cycles used (which the WHO recommended dropping, literally on inauguration day). That would also greatly reduce positive test results.

Maybe the little plateau that we have seen in the last few weeks, reflects (perhaps partially) the end of the statistical adjustment to that new sampling method, which you pointed out. Nice to see it turn down again yesterday, perhaps reflecting continued real world decline.

Probably a few factors contributed to the big decline since January 8th (like growing natural immunity from exposure), but some statistical “cooking of the books” really fits the Modus Operandi of the Democrat party. As they say, If they ain’t lying, they ain’t trying. It’s like their main job.

Call the CDC and tell them you are hearing that the covid is no worse than the common cold. My understanding is that they will tell you they printed that on their website last year.

Thanks to CHYna and the Dems who easily took advantage of the crisis. I remember January 2020, it was going to be a walk in the park for Trump.
