LOL, that right hand must be protecting against extreme shrinkage!

i went the other way

infrared saunas

then you just pop out into normal or a cold area a brief period of time, then go back in

on a related note, the opposite of shrinkage occurs, so there’s that:)

Unfortunately it won’t get rid of hangovers.

One of my kids did cross country and this was part of his training routine the coach used.

I fell overboard from a fishing boat in Alaska once. When I got back on deck I stripped off all my wet gear and stood there naked. It felt like my whole body was glowing from the inside, really fantastically invigorating. I recommend it, if you’re young and healthy enough to withstand the initial shock.

Didn't know your sphincter could clamp up tighter than a burmese python, eh?

I once did a sauna/cold water immersion

Sat in the sauna until I felt I was as warm as I was going to get in there (about ten minutes), opened the door and fell into cold water.

It was surprisingly pleasant. I am not kidding- I didn’t stay in it long, much less than a minute. But it was far less of a shock than I get when I take a hot shower and try to repeat the feeling by switching off the hot water and rinsing off in cold water.

For about 3 days I felt high like I had been doing some really good coke (in my youth I broke a few laws)

For more background- Once I had tried REALLY good coke, I stopped almost 100% after that, because the crappy coke was so horrible by comparison. It actually scared me because it felt so good and I have an extremely stupid mindset when it comes to those kind of things.

I actually scared myself out of trying anything else after that, when 3 people I knew- who were using crack,... refused to give me some when they found out I never had it before. All three said “I don’t want to be the one to get you started.” They were not being stingy, they freely offered it,... thankfully I said “I never did this before” just in time.

Thankfully about then I realized I was wasting my life and went back to college.

Back to sauna/cold. It was the best ‘high’ and mental clarity I ever felt. And it lasted days.

They only reason I don’t do it all the time is because I don’t have a sauna built right next to an ice bath. But I am building one.
