I’m going to pour bourbon into a tumbler and add a single ice cube.

That’s sorta like an ice water bath.

I always loved going into a steam bath, and getting completely as hot for as long as I could get, then run outside and jump in the pool!

The sensation when I did that was...that I was immersed in a viscous liquid like honey or molasses, and it felt grandly odd.
