Fox News will serve as the 'loyal opposition' to Joe Biden, CEO Lachlan Murdoch has announced - adding that the move was designed to boost their ratings.
In what was seen as the most frank assessment of the network to date, Murdoch, the eldest son of Rupert Murdoch, said that the network would hold the new president to account.
Speaking on Thursday at a Morgan Stanley conference, the 49-year-old said that Fox News was aiming to echo MSNBC's success in acting as the main White House critic.
'The main beneficiary of the Trump administration from a ratings point of view was MSNBC, and that's because they were the loyal opposition,' Murdoch said of the rival cable network, as reported by NBC.
'That's what our job is now with the Biden administration, and you'll see our ratings really improve from here.'

If Fox was really loyal opposition, they wouldn't have collaborated in The Steal.
Fox News lost 50% of their viewers since The Steal and now they are in a panic over the consequences.

Aside from the day Rish died, I haven’t watched Fox since they hired Donna Brazile, and proved their journalistic ethical standards were lower than CNN’s.

We stopped watching Fox cold turkey.

I turned all television news off. Tried newsmax but I refuse to be a viewer of any channel that would hire Morning Joe Mark Halperin. My cable doesn’t have OAN... and I’m not paying for what will eventually be like fox.
Not with Chris Wallace. 8pm on and a few other shows maybe.
Well I hope they circle back to the old Fox News Channel but I’ll never forget how they treated President Trump.

Fox was also loyal opposition to Trump.
