The Historical Role of Vaccines in Eliminating Infectious Disease Mortality (NOT)
The Defender ^ | Feb 26, 2021 | Robert F Kennedy, Jr

This is an RFK letter in response to a critic who did not address RFK's supporting information.

Similarly, in 1977, Boston University epidemiologists (and husband and wife) John and Sonja McKinlay published their seminal work in the Millbank Memorial Fund Quarterly on the role that vaccines (and other medical interventions) played in the massive 74% decline in mortality seen in the twentieth century: “The Questionable Contribution of Medical Measures to the Decline of Mortality in the United States in the Twentieth Century.”

In this article, which was formerly required reading in U.S. medical schools, the McKinlays pointed out that 92.3% of the mortality rate decline happened between 1900 and 1950, before most vaccines existed, and that all medical measures, including antibiotics and surgeries, “appear to have contributed little to the overall decline in mortality in the United States since about 1900 — having in many instances been introduced several decades after a marked decline had already set in and having no detectable influence in most instances.”

Also, see links to references.

The vaccine fraud is entirely centered around money.

Also this:

"After extensively studying a century of recorded data, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Johns Hopkins researchers concluded: “Thus vaccinations does not account for the impressive declines in mortality from infectious diseases seen in the first half of the twentieth century.”"

It should be noted that the American Academy of Pediatrics, which is "all-in" for vaccines, is also "all-in" for gun control based on a fraudulent study.

Indoor plumbing, refrigeration, hygiene probably helped a lot.

I am old enough to to remember polio, and the eradication of smallpox. Vaccines have been core to the suppression of many difficult viral diseases.

There are a bunch of different variables affecting diseases that need to be considered.

Before the turn of the 20th Century, medical hand sanitation with carbolic acid radically lowered the number of postpartum infections in both mothers and infants.

The Pure Food and Drug Act of 1906.

Damming of rivers dried up many swampy, mosquito breeding areas.

The popularization of outhouses and indoor plumbing in the 1920’s wiped out many parasitic infections in surface soil.

The use of air conditioning had a big impact.

WWII era public health hygiene education.

But some credit as well needs to go to antibiotics and vaccines.

Money money money monnn ey!

Currently, analysts are forecasting that Moderna will report adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $2.42 in Q1 FY 2021. It would be the first quarter of profitability in at least 15 quarters. Revenue is expected to explode upward by 20,848.7% compared to the year-ago quarter as use of its COVID-19 vaccine spikes worldwide. For full-year FY 2021, analysts forecast adjusted EPS of $20.33 as annual revenue soars 2,001.9%. But some analysts say those soaring earnings may not last forever because Moderna’s windfall profits may attract more rivals to the market.

Thanks for posting your feelings.

The paper was based on science, which trumps feelings.

Less that 4% (at best), according to the paper.

Excellent. The graphs and attachments speak for themselves.

I have a mind to download the 2010 AAPS paper. It was received and published, and presumably peer reviewed.

People with pre-conceived (false) ideas about anything need not comment. Science trumps feelings and $.

I’m surprised he didn’t cover polio, too. But...then again...tossing in a grenade after you’ve hit him over the head with a book is a bit much.

Ironically, a commenter tossed in the grenade anyway.

lol

The American Academy of Pediatrics article is behind a paywall. Do you know if it was published hard copy or in any library databases? When arguing against the status quo, being able to show where people can find the references for themselves helps make for a stronger argument.

“When arguing against the status quo, being able to show where people can find the references for themselves helps make for a stronger argument”

I totally agree with you.

But there are people here who commented clearly without reading a thing in the link. So I am not holding my breath that they would read the paper, if I posted it. I am more interested in the comments of people who have an open mind to do their own follow-up.

Let’s not forget that the average person has not seen the graphs provided, and they believe wholeheartedly in the notion that the entire reduction in communicable diseases in the 20th century was due to vaccines. The medical establishment has done nothing to disabuse them of the notion.

"But there are people here who commented clearly without reading a thing in the link."

If FR was set up so people had to actually read the article and even - think - (*shudder*) before posting, this site would not be so much fun now, would it? ;) Please PM me the link.

Decreases in infant mortality and longer lifespans are happening independently of other causes, and medicine cannot treat non medical cause and effects.

Vaccines were found to have major reductions in reported cases of diseases like polio, measles, and tetanus. As stated by RFK Jr and others, mortality was decreasing before most vaccines were developed. So the relationship between diseases and mortality is a complex one.

A sugar cube for Polio is very different than an intravenous vaccine
