All our wood at the farm is “artisanal” hard work family ‘artisans’ cut and split the wood and stack it cords at a time.
funny.
I don’t buy organic. Mostly because I don’t trust for one second the labels. “Organic” has no definition and I have no way of ascertaining the organic ness of the seed, water, dirt, atmosphere, fertilizer, or pesticide nor what happened in storage or transport. It’s a total joke.
Whether it could be proven I am not at all certain that it’s a positive difference anyway.
“Here in Indiana, the Asian ash borer invasion has killed all our ash trees.”
Those little devils are here in western NC too. I’m having the Ash logged right now while they’re still worth something.
I eat all sorts of “inorganic” food all time time...
that is a great example of a burning passion...
Don’t you mean “Purdey”?
Bob & Ray’s “Wing Po” will study your wood and and throw in his flute music for nothing.

I do too, but high end shotguns, c’mon man... I saw a gigantic black snake in one as a boy. His sheds were hanging everywhere. I was once on the farm owned by Neil Armstrong and there was a bunch of 100 year old Sycamores near the creek. They are very beautiful.
The wood does look like some of the artisanal pizza crusts I’ve seen.
Actually I save back about 6 decent looking logs from our wood pile, after winter is over, I clean out the fireplace, then place the pretty logs in the fireplace. Along with some Ponderosa pine cones. They are huge. We have a lot more hot weather than cold! The logs with white bark are really pretty in the fireplace. But this year our son cute a lot of branches off his trees and he cut them down into small logs for us. I will decorate the fireplace with those when winter is over. Come next winter, they will be in cleaned out fireplace ready for first cold front, and hotdogs!!!!!!!!!!
I never was honored to hold one of their shotguns. You wouldn’t believe all the beautiful exotic woods I have squirreled away though. That was why I was able to recognize that gunstock for what it was.
We had a huge sycamore tree in our front yard in San Marino California! I still remember the mess. Moved to Texas and had one in backyard. Happy when it died!!! So messy.
Clever
I have been burning termite infested firewood for a couple of weeks.
I should have canned it for the future!
My FIL stacked it and never used it. Disgusting waste.
No kidding. Did about a 1/4 cord today. Tired of it.
At our expense, of course.
Don't leave out that the wood has to be "curated" too.
White privilege.
