On Monday, Twitter user @Toffifay76 stirred up some hot internet drama by posing a question to her followers: “Fleetwood Mac or Chicago?”
The straightforward choice between the two beloved rock groups went viral, and has since racked up more than 1,700 likes and 4,200 responses.
“Chicago!!!!!” voted one enthused devotee of the “If You Leave Me Now,” and “You’re the Inspiration,” artists. “I know ppl will unfollow but I have always hated Stevie Nicks. Her voice is like a fog horn… Don’t @ me!!” “Fleetwood Mac (BEFORE Buckingham & Nicks) was one of the three greatest English blues/rock guitar/guitarist song factories in history,” voted an opposing listener.

It’s in chat, not breaking.
Oh boy.
So what versions of the bands in question? Peter Green era versus Terry Kath?

Since I don't go to Twitter anymore, can we have the argument here?
Fleetwood Mac all the way! Christine (Perfect) McVie way underrated. I like what Stevie and Lindsey brought to the band as well. "Tusk" was their best album overall.

This one is easy. Both play good music, but Fleetwood Mac let the Democrats use their songs with their approval.
On the other hand Chicago had a ranch where they rehearsed and following that they took breaks out on the gun range they had on the ranch. Rode horses too.
You decide. :)

That’s not Mac to me. Peter Green era, particularly “Oh Well” and “Green Manalishi”.

Earlier model of FWM okay. With nicks, not so much. Chicago overall wins in my book.

I vote for the Kingston Trio! Oh, wait. I don’t think they were part of this particular band debate. I guess I’ll just hang down my head and cry.

I was at the ‘73 performance. Five bucks and in what is now the Key arena.
I’ve only been to one concert since ticketmaster got in the act. And that was ten years ago.
