Flubros and Flubras! Day 321 (a place for Flubros and Flubras)

It’s just the flu, bro.

Fauci “disturbed” that white people are getting coronavirus vaccines at higher rates than minorities. I too am disturbed. I try not to make too many proclamations based on one race being different than another race. But if Fauci’s numbers are correct, I have no choice but to conclude that white people are more likely to act like sheep when it comes to proclamations from the government.

I thought Florida had no mask mandates. Article above says Palm Beach County has a mask mandate and they are investigating some Desantis supporters for violating it.

There needs to be no “new normal”. The new normal needs to be a reversion to 2019. The remote work and the contactless DoorDash delivery can stay, but the stupid masks and social distancing and the hand sanitizing needs to go.

“Or, it’s just possible that “white people” are better informed and less likely to believe the anti-vaccine propaganda masquerading as ‘news’.”

Actually no.

Homeschoolers are far better informed on matters of education, and are much more likely to be former vaxxers.

College education correlates with more skepticism with vaccines. People at the lowest education levels typically accept their pediatricians advice blindly.

“You are bringing facts and reality to a thread where the posters have zero interest in such things. It’s all about narrative.”

Sounds like the words of a good Democrat

keep the distancing; I have determined this covid year that most people aren’t worth socializing with anyhow, what with their stinkeyes and snitch lines...

what ‘facts’ and ‘realities’ are you talking about...? the ‘numbers’ generated by a government funded medical conglomerate that has staked its reputation on this virus being the worst pestilence since the Black Plague...?

you mean those facts and realities...?

The vaccines are not approved for children so why is the advice of a pediatrician relevant?

You referred to “anti-vaxxers”, which is a catch-all covering the whole range of people from those who don’t like the cv19 vax, all the way to those who are not comfortable with the childhood schedule or even those who ask to see the vaxx package inserts. My comment referred to that whole range, since yours did as well.

Or do you think it is “anti-vaxx” to not like the cv19 vaccine (sic) but OK whole one or more of the other vaccine?

The correct term for most of us BTW is “former vaxxers” or “ex-vaxxers”. Just about everyone I know who opposes vaccines has previously been vaccinated and decided against future vax for various reasons.

Yup.

It is interesting to see the number of FReepers who claim to be conservative and pro-2A, and yet are in favor of the mandatory medical monopoly.

It’s one thing to personally decide that perceived risks of a particular vaccine outweigh the value of that vaccine to that individual. And most reasonable people (i.e. non-Karens) have no problem with people making their own decision about what’s best for their own personal health.

Spreading fear and false information about vaccines and supposed dangers is a very different proposition. Calling people “sheep” (or other names) for choosing to take a particular vaccine is different. Trying to ban vaccines or trying to sue the vaccine makers out of business with nuisance suits based on nonsense claims is very different. Mandating vaccines is also wrong.

Each individual has the RIGHT to make their own informed decisions about what’s best for their own personal health and wellbeing. Mocking them for their decision - whether that decision is to take a vaccine or not take it - is wrong. Trying to change that decision with misinformation is wrong. Trying to take away that decision with a mandate, a ban, etc. is absolutely a violation of their fundamental human right to self-determination. An individual who is doing their best to understand the available information and make the best decisions for themselves and their families deserves to have those decisions respected.

Not directing anything at you here; just stating what I think about the conversation in your comment.

We have a right not to believe the “science” of Pharma, the FDA, the CDC, the NIH. All of those federal agencies are composed of bureaucrats. All of those agencies have leadership which is essentially a revolving door with Pharma. There is little doubt that they are controlled by Pharma.

We live in a free country. Science is NEVER settled. It is always open to challenge, discussion, revision, disagreement. We do not live in a technocracy. Freedom and liberty trumps science, ALWAYS. So we have a right to discuss our views, sources and MDs who support our positions. You don’t accept our sources and MDs. And many of us do not accept yours.

Most “anti-vaxxers” are former vaxxers who have witnessed destructive effects of vaccination in family or friends. And we have watched as state after state proposed to remove conscience exemptions. You people have at best remained silent, or openly supported these efforts to remove our freedoms. We have been ridiculed by friends and family and people on social media. Some of our leaders clearly have been murdered over their advocacy against mandatory vax.

Correct or not, vaccines carry an aura of being mandatory. Many many people believe this. I have yet to meet a conventional MD who has told a parent that they have a choice. I have yet to know a pediatrician who thought that a discussion of risk vs benefit, vaccine inserts, vaccine injury reporting, or the voluntary nature of vaccines was their professional responsibility. On the contrary, many pediatricians refuse to treat children if the parents choose not to vaccinate. And pediatric practices receive funding (govt and/or insurance and maybe Pharma) for having a certain % of the practice fully vaccinated. So there is a massive financial incentive.

I think it is hilarious how you people project and play the victim, when all the money and power is on your side.
