MELBOURNE, Australia — Serena Williams walked off the court after her latest so-close-yet-so-far bid for a 24th Grand Slam title ended with a loss to Naomi Osaka at the Australian Open(Semifinals)......
Once again, Williams played well enough to get to the closing days of a major tournament. And once again, she couldn’t quite get the job done in order to add one more Grand Slam trophy to her collection of 23 and equal Margaret Court for the most in tennis history.

Serena Williams turned pro when she was fourteen, in 1995. She has been playing tennis for TWENTY-SIX years and has 23 grand slam singles titles
Margaret Court turned pro when she was eighteen in 1960. She was eighteen. She retired in 1977, playing SEVENTEEN years. She has 24 grand slam singles titles and multiple grand slam doubles titles.
Serena has played nine years longer than Court.
The two really aren’t comparable and Margaret Court is still the GOAT and will remain so for years to come, unless someone throws a final GS match for Williams. Unfortunately for Court, the social justice warriors are after her. She is a deeply religious Christian and is very and unabashedly outspoken against gay marriage. Thanks to the Billie Jean King crowd, she has been shunned in the tennis world and in fact, there is a movement to remove her name from a court in Melbourne named after her.
Chrissy and Steffi and long gone and Sharapova too. All that’s left are these creatures - what are they? I think biologically, if tests were done, I think their hormones would add up to something closer to men or some kind of aberration.
Anyway, I’ve totally given up on Women’s tennis which was the last of the women’s sports I used to watch. It’s Dykesville all the way which gags me and gagging is not my idea of fun or entertainment.
Interesting story.
I think if we are going down this road of men being allowed to play in women’s sports then the women who are suppose to be the best in the world should have to play 5 sets just like the men.
And Serena should have to go up against Hottie Tsitsipas

Also, have you noticed how animated Williams gets when she’s losing? She starts throwing up her arms, making exasperated faces, and looking up at the sky.

I only saw the highlights, but it seemed like pretty high-level tennis.
It’s extremely hard to out train a poor diet.

Last night, at the beginning of the 1st set, it did cross my mind that Osaka might be throwing the match. That’s how sh!tty Osaka looked at the start.

I am by no means a fan of Serena. But , right now , she is considered one of the richest people in her home state. She is , at the very least, a multi millionaire.Don’t think she is going to have to be looking for a job as a cleaning lady or pancake flipper any time soon. Love her or hate her, she is A very rich woman. And, she is entering the age where most women go a little bit crazy due to menopause. Just sayin...

Believe me, it wasn’t.
Osaka had extreme trouble getting her 1st serve in. And, at the start of the match, Osaka couldn’t make ANYTHING.
Like I said, she just about gifted Williams a 3/0 lead in the 1st set.
