It’s just the flu, bro.

Why is it that the most irrational mandates, kids wearing masks and social distancing in school, are possibly going to be the last Coronavirus mandates to be removed?

Kids are almost never seriously harmed by Coronavirus. But the social stigma associated with getting is such that parents don’t want their kids to get it no matter what. So we all agree to this vast immunological experiment - kids wear masks and rebreathe whatever they rebreathe and, as a result of social distancing, get less exposure to all germs, not just Coronavirus.

Even if parents come to their senses that isolating their children for a year or two might be a bad idea, the teacher’s union wants to make sure it’s membership does as a little work as possible. They would just rather have remote learning and then teach their classes from the Caribbean.

I say let the kids and their parents have the option to not wear masks and not socially distance. Those parents who want kids to remote learn get what they want. Same for parents who want in person with masks. The group left out, and who will continue to be left out, are the parents who want their kids to have in person class with no masks and distancing.

CDC admits teachers’ union lobbyists helped change recommendations.

Plus, CDC Director Dr. Walensky recommended 3 ft vs 6 ft ‘social distancing’.
It’s pathetic how we’ve let ourselves be duped by these useful idiots.

"Why is it that the most irrational mandates, kids wearing masks and social distancing in school, are possibly going to be the last Coronavirus mandates to be removed?"

The justification used is that you have a large number of people, each from different households in a small confined space for an extended period of time, so there's a higher risk of transmission.

However, this is based on speculation and fear; not evidence. Per CDC: "Based on the data available, in-person learning in schools has not been associated with substantial community transmission. Although national COVID-19 case incidence rates among children and adolescents have risen over time, this trend parallels trends observed among adults. Increases in case incidence among school-aged children and school reopenings do not appear to pre-date increases in community transmission." and: "Though outbreaks do occur in school settings, multiple studies have shown that transmission within school settings is typically lower than – or at least similar to – levels of community transmission, when mitigation strategies are in place in schools." and: "Findings from several studies suggest that SARS-CoV-2 transmission among students is relatively rare." Source

We can debate the effectiveness of the various transmission control measures in schools like masks and social distancing, but the fact is that - as things stand today - there is no evidence or data supporting the position that schools should not be open for in-person learning. Teachers should be provided access to the vaccines immediately for those who want it, and every kid should be back in school full time learning.

78 years old with a history of heart problems.

39,000,000 people in the US have had at least one dose of the vaccines. And that population is largely made up of very old people who have battled life-threatening illnesses for years. The fact that some of them died in the hours, days, and weeks after receiving a vaccine is statistically normal. You could give them Tylenol or sugar pills or a haircut and see the same result. But nobody thinks haircuts cause death.

Every death is - and absolutely should be - fully investigated to ensure there is no causal link to the vaccines. If one is ever found, we should find out what exactly happened so we can limit the risk as much as possible down the road. However, with an Infection Fatality Rate of 0.65%, if you gave 39 million random Americans COVID-19, 253,500 of them would be dead. The vaccines are already saving lives, and will continue to do so.

And they’ll help us get away from the restrictions. The faster the vaccines are rolled out, the faster everything goes back to normal. I want everything back to normal.

Glad to hear you’re safe. I’m sad to hear you’re one of so many affected by the terrible storms and extreme weather hitting Texas (assuming that’s what’s happened with you.)

‘The faster the vaccines are rolled out, the faster everything goes back to normal. I want everything back to normal.’

yes, absolutely...and also what I want is everybody to shed the idiotic phobias they have they have allowed themselves to believe...

I want to walk down the sidewalks, and not see furtive people sticking diapers on their faces and walking out in the street to avoid me...because my patience with such idiocy is done, and I will be telling these numbkulls so...
