California Democrats scramble to fight recall and close ranks

OAKLAND - California Democrats are suddenly waking up to a nightmarish reality that in their solidly-blue state, a small but determined band of GOP activists may soon qualify a recall that puts Gov. Gavin Newsom’s future in doubt.

Alarmed party leaders, facing the threat of a chaotic and expensive election by the end of this year, have begun to issue “all hands on deck” calls. But it may already be too late to convince the disorderly Democratic ranks to put aside their political differences - and in some cases, ambitions - and stand in unity with their embattled governor.

“Every credible leader should be speaking out loudly and forcefully - now,’’ said state Sen. Steve Glazer (D-Orinda), a former senior adviser to Gov. Jerry Brown.

The message must be “about why even unhappy Californians should not sign these poisonous petitions," he said this week. “Our collective action should be all about reducing signatures that would create this political chaos.”

But time is running out, he conceded. “It’s really about the next 30 days," when the recall campaign must show evidence they've collected 1.5 million valid signatures.

**SNIP**

“Republicans see this quirky opportunity to slip a Republican governor into the bluest state in the union," she said. “And I think they are daydreaming."

Yes, a RINO (Schwarzenegger) was elected, but it proved it could be done. I'll take the RINO over Newsom.

Pretty much.

With roughly 15-million Hispanics in the state, I think I'd go and develop that base.

President Trump already increased his share of the Latino vote in Texas, winning 94% Latino counties like Zapata County which Hilary Clinton won by 34% just 4 years ago.
And that was with President Trump not making even one single campaign stop in Texas, while the Biden campaign sent the HO there to campaign.
Its not going to be too hard to grab plenty of Latino votes in California if the GOP really works hard at it and President Trump campaigns for the Republican candidate.

The fascinating thing about this is, there is obviously a problem with Gavin’s leadership. And rather than fix it or work with Gavin to change direction, they close ranks and defend the poor results. Like termites defending their destruction of the house

All I have to say is that they better not try to verify the signatures on all those recall petitions. That would be racist.

This article is more propaganda. It’s not “a small but determined band of GOP activists”. It’s a large number of people, they’re not “activists”, and they’re not just Republicans. There are Democrats who want to recall Gruesome Newsom as well.

California LEFTists (aka Democratic Party) got their ‘lock’ on power with changing their state election rules in their favor. First was ‘Ballot Harvesting” which allows for any number of shenanigans between the voter and the ballot box. Second was eliminating single-party primaries so that elections lost non-Dem voters because it was only Dems at the top of the ticket.

How much will you bet that the ‘D’ officialdom will challenge every recall sheet as being improperly handled and violating many rules and regulations? Before they challenge individual signatures, they will seek to sink every ‘collector’ and every custodian! Democrats Rule in California, not Democracy!

Where’s the Republicans in speaking out on Kalifornia’s corrupted election system? No where! Crickets! Unless and until the election system is made so it can’t be rigged and the people’s votes stolen by the communist democrats, there is no point in voting.

here is the money quote:

“Progressive activist Joseph Sanberg, a wealthy entrepreneur who has previously talked about a run for public office — including governor — said such connections suggest an attack “on California values.”

“This recall construct ... is an anti-democratic vessel for unknown, secretive big money groups to take control of state politics,’’ he charged. “We can’t have a system where a dozen unknown, wealthy, unaccountable people can hijack state politics — and that’s really what’s unfolding,” he said.

A week later, the talking point from KCBS on the recall coverage is that Newsom opening public schools may keep him safe from recall. WTH?
