Nobody should be sad about being alone this year. We are all alone anymore, even though we may be have someone. It is hard to feel connected when you don't know what your fearless leaders have in store for you next.
So I came up with an idea for Valentine’s Day this year, although, per usual with my ideas, not in a timely fashion. But I guess there is nothing really wrong with sending belated VD cards. All you have to do is use a caret and write in the word “Belated.” There should be boxes of non-romantic VD cards available for cheap now.
A few weeks ago, I was viewing a video by Stephan Molyneux in which he explained that if we really love our family and friends, and humans in general, we will try to rationalize them out of their irrational way of looking at the world. Some time back a Freeper put up as a comment on a post that they tell people in their lives some truths about the ‘rona because they see them living under such fear and anxiety and not really living. They basically say to them, “I love you too much to see you not having a life, so please listen to me as I tell you about some facts on the death rates, who dies and why, what you can do in the way of vitamins to keep you safe, and how living with a distorted sense of reality about this disease is hurting your immune system.”
I hope this person is reading this thread and posts what they wrote because it sounded so much better than what I wrote. And then I can steal it and put it in the card.
I am about to head downstairs to finish making Bagels so the Mrs. will have a warm, fresh bagel to wake up to. Later we will go for a walk along the seafront then stop in for a drink and some Tapas. No card necessary.
I phoned all family members and special friends last night with Valentines Love for each one. I’m ordering a Heart Shaped Valentine Pizza for lunch tomorrow.
If people are single then give out your love to those you love....and celebrate anyway.
Ooooo. Water bagels? 😀 The only seafront we have around here is gator-infested swamp. She works today, but I may buy her a bottle of Disaronno or Kahlua. Maybe a Low Country Boil for dinner. I gave up on giving her the little potted teacup roses. She’s got such a brown thumb, she can kill shower mold just by getting in the tub. LOL And no more ‘I Wuv U’ coffee mugs with the stuffed animals in them. She breaks the mugs and the pets eat the stuffed animals.
