In an expletive-laced phone call with House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy while the Capitol was under attack, then-President Donald Trump said the rioters cared more about the election results than McCarthy did.
"Well, Kevin, I guess these people are more upset about the election than you are," Trump said, according to lawmakers who were briefed on the call afterward by McCarthy.
McCarthy insisted that the rioters were Trump's supporters and begged Trump to call them off.
Trump's comment set off what Republican lawmakers familiar with the call described as a shouting match between the two men. A furious McCarthy told the then-President the rioters were breaking into his office through the windows, and asked Trump, "Who the f--k do you think you are talking to?" according to a Republican lawmaker familiar with the call.

If this information is true, which I seriously doubt, it still has no bearing on the impeachment. The single article of impeachment is incitement. In their rush to vote on impeachment the House only voted on the single article. Since the “riot” was already underway when this call supposedly happened, then this call could not have been incitement. Again, if this is even true which is unlikely.

How was that supposed to happen? Were they watching TV? Listening to the radio? Did he have their phone numbers? Should he have yelled into a megaphone? Sky writing?
The Congress critters ran like the rats that they are. Now they have built a wall/border fence for themselves. A fence to keep everyone out of their sacred precincts, the Capitol. 98% of the Trumpistos that “stormed” inside were busy getting selfies and photos taken to show the folks back home. For bragging rights.
I read the unarmed Ashli Babbit who got shot and killed in cold blood was all of 5ft tall. The one shot by a Capitol policeman. These open borders pukes got hysterical when the selfie takers gained entry to their turf. After being waved in by some of the Capitol police for their self guided tours.
But when it affects them, it's a different story.
Trump lawyer did ask the question about the relevance...Congressman Raskin argued it was relevant...He said that dereliction of duty is part of the incitement charge...Raskin is accusing that Mr. Trump refused to carry out his responsibility as the president on January 6th...I don't accept that argument but Democrats and a few Republicans did ...

Before “they” scrubbed the audio you can hear those listening to Trump shouting “four more years” in the background, long before he told them to “peacefully and patriotically walk to the Capitol to let their voices be heard”.
