Sen. John Thune (R-SD), the second-ranking Senate Republican, said Friday he could support a resolution to censure President Donald Trump.
Thune, the Senate Republican whip, told reporters that he could support a resolution to censure Trump depending on how the resolution was framed. He added that the resolution would have to be “effective.”

So true. That goes for our oldest Senator from Wyoming too, Barrasso. He did not stand up for Trump and the e-mail I got from him when I questioned him was pathetic. He’s just a RHINO. He is also part of leadership just like Thune and he has his nose so far up McConnell’s rear that it isn’t funny. I’ll be working against him when he is up in I think 2024. First though, getting rid of Cheney in 2022.
Thank you for posting reminders of the traitors. Too many here forget that the majority of the Republican party state and federal did nothing to help Trump or defend us for 5 years. Rep voters seem to enjoy being the battered spouse convinced he will change. Thus nothing changes.

Here are some that come to mind:
They had hearings early 2017 and was told Russia was a hoax and they supported Mueller
They promised the people they had a healthcare plan, they had none which hurt Trump (he campaigned on that)
I’m convinced that if McCain refused to be the one to vote no on repealing Obamacare, another was slated to vote no. Collective goal, no repeal.
They insisted on the Kavanaugh hearings.
They said little on the wall and did not promote it.
They voted for the Biden electors.
Mike Turner (OH) proposed gun control after the Oregon shooting
2016, Cruz blamed Trump for the violence at rallies
Rubio reintroduced his bill on confiscating guns if being investigated as a domestic terrorist
I find it ironic that people here are disappointed with Trump’s lawyers performance and lack of talent yet make excuses for politicians who make laws that effect the country. They are our employee, we keep forgetting that. Yes, I expect perfection while doing their job. And if they fail, they should at least apologize if they want to keep their job.
Jordan, Gaetz, Nunes are a few that their ACTIONS matched their rhetoric. Most talked a good game and did nothing......

I’m open to primarying Thune.
A "reasonable man" would say that once he's out of office, there would be no reason for them to go after him and they would drop their pursuit of him.
But their relentless efforts to twist the knife in his back and prevent him from ever running again, leads that same reasonable man to wonder what else is going on.
It leads me to believe that they have crimes they don't want revealed and Trump knows where all the bodies are buried.
It's hard to cover up human nature.
The Dems basically used impeachment as a censure. I don’t think you can go impeachment to failed removal to censure. The good faith way to approach a censure would be to start with it, not a fall back option.
They could include in the censure that Trump is barred from holding office again.
Not how this works.
Recall the phony Democrats saying that it was EITHER impeach OR censure President Clinton.
You cannot censure OR impeach a former President.
