I saw the video..As he’s pounding on the car,the women just stayed there...BACK UP..Leave..Or just run him over..The video clearly shows he was attacking them
” How can you be in a parking lot and not know where you are?”
In the heat of the moment with a crazed guy firing at my car I might forget where I was.
Then they rioted...................
Easy if you are not from that city and not driving...................

More likely a 5,000 pound SUV.

It appears that he shot the driver before he pounded on the hood. But, yeah, when someone is pounding on the hood with a pistol do not hestitate to run them over. BTW, that was the parking lot of the Northwest Afro-American Museum. (Not a joke.) They were waiting for someone who had breifly run into the building.
Did the woman driving the car do everything she could to avoid being a victim? Street smarts lacking. It’s sad but it is what it is.
It’s not even clear that the victims were not Afroamericans. It’s horrible.

Agreed! This is what folks do not understand. Use any weapon you have available. A gun is a great defense weapon but so is a 3,400 pound sedan with 240 horse power.
This advice goes for anyone, not just women

The first was in the middle of the day on a Sunday downtown while I was leaving work and walking to my car.
The second as I was walking to my apartment after parking my vehicle around 11 at night.
Both terrifying situations that I was lucky to not be hurt or possibly killed.
Another time I was downtown on a date kissing my boyfriend (who leaned against a building) as we went from one dance club to another. I heard a sound as we kissed and realized he'd been hit in the head by something. I turned and saw a homeless guy in a very threatening stance walking toward us down the street. Apparently this drunk, homeless guy had quite an arm as he hit my boyfriend on the side of the head with a beer bottle from quite a distance. We ran as fast as we could to our vehicle. Turns out my boyfriend was ok. But VERY, VERY scary.
The lessons learned. NEVER relax when anyone you don't know approaches you whether it be vehicle or on foot. It could get deadly quickly.
And never let your guard down when in an area where there is either a lot of drinking, homeless, or high crime. Pay attention to your surroundings always.
I don’t understand why there were sitting in the middle of the parking lot with the car running. They were not in a parking space. Was the radio loud? Did the have an earlier disagreement?
He came up from behind them and it looks like he shot through the side window so they could not have ran him over.
We need a lengthy desertation that the shooter may have worn a red MAGA hat.
