the house managers are failing to link any thing Trump said to the actual events and people at the capitol. That alone makes it clear this impeachment attempt is unsupported.
(Note: there are many other defects in their argument, but the failure of a good linkage alone is enough to vote NO, and it means you don’t even have to look into those other defects)
I blame Justice Roberts for this.
If he had any honor, he would walk in and tell them that what they are doing is wrong and that they should stop immediately.
This whole thing destroys the justice system in America.
Roberts needs to stop it.
Perhaps he feels that being connected to this farce in any way would lend it legitimacy.

Mouthpiece Ciceline is proving Jonathan Swift correct (once again) in that there are some verbose lawyers willing to argue that “white is black, and that black is white,” according to how they are paid.
We are supposed to recoil in fear and outrage at the US Capitol being vandalized by a mob for hours after American cities were looted and burned all summer as the Democrats abetted and cheered on the mobs.

The Democrats keep trying to reinforce two specious facts: the 2020 presidential election was legitimate and that Biden won by the greatest number of votes ever received by a presidential candidate.
The election was conducted as honestly as the 1919 World Series fixed by Arnold Rothstein and his associates.
If Biden really triumphed with over 80 million legal votes, why are the Democrats so frightened about Trump running in 2024? Possibly because Trump outperformed the built in fraudulent vote advantage and they had to work day and night to manufacture additional votes so as to offset Trump’s margins in the battleground states.
I'd love to see the congressmembers pushing this unconstitutional process get impeached and/or prosecuted.

Impeachment managers showed video clips of some protestors saying some nasty things to cops in DC...
I am sure that there were instances where BLM supporters said some nasty things to cops who were facing them...Did any Democrat speak out against that?
Impeachment managers mentioned some article where some black Capitol police officer complained about protestors using n-word against him...The officer was not named...
Did that happen? Maybe or maybe not...
In any case, I think that I read about BLM protestors verbally abusing black cops...
Indeed, as PDJT often mentioned the need for a slew of Perry Masons to perhaps handle the Catch and Release cases, etc.,
there aren’t sufficient barristers around these days.
I’ve usually held that the invocation of Perry Mason was a high compliment and can only ponder how drastically different things would be today if our real POTUS had that caliber of representation . . .
Just imagine if we had had somebody like the Raymond Burr character serving as our AG instead of disasters like Sessions and Barr, or directing the FBI over failures in Comey and Wray.
It’s also been exasperating that President Trump wasn’t able to muster up worthy counsel to challenge his stolen reelection.
Finally, I gather the present legal beagles handling this second impeachment debacle leave much to be desired.

During the lock down, for a lack of anything better to do, I read one of Erle Stanley Gardner’s “Perry Mason” novellas.
It differed from many of the television programs and made for television movies (I will skip the recent HBO miniseries which was completely reimagined with radical changes to the original source materials). Perry Mason was willing to engage in unethical conduct in order to defend his clients. He would tamper with evidence and plant evidence to mislead the police on occasions.
The “Cancel Culture” might condemn these books which were, of course, part of a series published in the 1930s and later.

Having not read the Erle Stanley Gardner novellas, it would to substantially deviate from the classic long-running television series that basically depicted Perry Mason as above reproach for the most part.

“This whole thing” is what the establishment has done over the past four and a half years.
I think the Trump defense team should simply play a two day long video of Democrats, MSM figures, Hollywood twits and other demented anti-Trumpers own comments and actions (Kathy Griffin) over the past four years.
