Gina Carano will not be returning to The Mandalorian. Carano has been fired by Lucasfilm / Disney and the Star Wars universe following more inflammatory comments on social media. She just could not top posting. Via The Hollywood Reporter:

When you put your application in for a job just consider if you are going to be working for someone that demands blind obedience to their agenda in your personal life or just wants you to do a job and leave you alone.
And get off the social media. Don’t let them monetize your thoughts and comments.

I suspect she knew what awaited her.... she has courage to speak out regardless.If you are are truly concerned about backlash youre right.... dont post your opinion openly. I do not think she is that concerned about Disney and cancel cultures reaction.

It’s difficult to overstate how bad this is. Curano wasn’t a complete unknown. She had a long, successful career in MMA and had compiled a reasonably long CV as an actress. She’s now effectively unemployable because she had the temerity to say something that didn’t comport with the prevailing political orthodoxy in Hollywood.
Others will take note and will keep silent...which is EXACTLY what Disney and United Talent are banking on. The absolute takeover of the Industrial Entertainment Complex by the left is almost upon. They will dominate entertainment and media like they now dominate education..and look how that’s turned out.

She never used the word Republicans or Conservatives. A metaphor was IMPLIED...and for that she was fired. Meanwhile any leftist Hollywood actor can spout whatever bile they wish against the right, with total job security.

How do you avoid terrible things? You talk about what you see leading up to them.
“today’s cancel culture” is entirely Marxist. What she said doesn’t toe the Marxist narrative and that gets many people fired.
I suspect she understood the consequences. How can someone work in Hollywood and not see it?
BTW what she said was spot on. I was just watching a show where they interviewed old people from an English village that spent years under Nazi occupation. They had heard about the way the Germans treated people and then found it was absolutely true. Anyone called a subhuman could be abused in any way they wanted. In that case it was captured Russian soldiers, starved, beaten and treated as slaves until they died.
I know what the score is these days. I always read trying to find something uplifting and end my reading with a wish I had not started reading. I am so tired of this crap. It is one thing to read about it and get depressed and another to do something about it. Unfortunately, I have not seen that happen, even a riotous demonstration has been turned into a sword wielded by the left against us, our schools are in shambles, free honest public discourse belittled or completely excised by big tech and citizenship submerged to illegal entry. Since this place is now not salvageable I was hoping for a takeover by a better group but alas we have already been assimilated, whether we admit it or not, by the CCP. Fortunately I have no offsprings that I have to answer to for the question: how did this happen on my watch.
At least, she did not say Sniffer stole the election.
