When I lived in the Bronx NY, it was the first and only time I observed a black as pitch squirrel. It was a sight to behold. However squirrels in general can do extensive damage if they get into the attic. They just love gnawing on electrical wiring and can cause electrical fires.

Used to be a ten year olds BB gun right of passage into teen life. Now a city of 5 million is living in fear cause Ralphie can’t possess a BB gun.

“...but one city neighborhood is being subjected to an unwelcome slice of the wild by being terrorized by a highly aggressive squirrel...”
Excellent...now let’s re-introduce wolves, grizzlies, etc into these filthy democrat cities like they do to fly over country.

Our Gray squirrels for the most part are good neighbors.
The smaller red squirrel is a true rodent pest. Re breaking into car ports, garages, basements and attics making those places their homes or feeding areas.
We had one that sometimes attacked people in our church yard or the alley in the back of the church. The city/county never responded.
It disappeared. We felt that it attacked a person raised in the country and still lived there. The squirrel probably became dinner after it attacked wrong person.

I wonder where these people got their Ph.Ds. so that they could diagnose a deranged squirrel. How would one of these geniuses determine that a squirrel is deranged?
Maybe they mean, “rabid”?
